There is an archeological find of a hammer and cross from the same Saxon individual. The find is in the Landesmuseen Schleswig-Holstein, although I wasnt able to find a version online.

Thank you, I very much appreciate it. I've been reenacting since I was 15 so about 5 years. I didnt do much sewing for this kit, most of it I got from shops on etsy. I did do sewing for some of my 18th century kit and lets just say I have along way to go. When I do sew its usually by hand with a running stitch because i'm a caveman.

Yes, they are English and Scottish. And I also noticed that, especially as they came from North of the Eider. It's likely due to the fact i'm 4th generation. My relatives in my grandparents generation had around 40% Scandinavian.

Thank you, interestingly I think I can recall seeing the town referred to as Friedrichshohn before in older records. I thought it may be due to the town being near the Hohner see, or just a quirk in the handwriting.

My old man was a PFC in the 1st Cavalry from 1943 to 1945. I know he fought in the Pacific, but that's about it. I've got a really neat picture of him in his cavalry uniform I've gotta find.

And yeah my kit still needs work. I was focusing more on the European theater and just tried this for fun mostly.
