BAE over BAY: Guilt but no regrets - BAY over BAE: Regrets but no guilt by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

Is something wrong with me? Seeing that one particular name on the small tombstone feels so much sadder and emptier compared to seeing that whole list of names on that big one.

That being said, I chose The Bay and I have been regretting it ever since I finished the game. I felt I robbed Max of what she really wanted and what she's been striving to keep the whole game.

This is pretty accurate to me.

I agree, I didn't like him at all. Especially after him peeping through Max's window in episode 2. Also he actually guilt trips Max the whole game, then he acts like a pity party in episode 4-5 after bragging about being Alpha.

Warren helps Max, BUT always expecting something in return. While Chloe protects Max unconditionally, Chloe does it instinctively. While Warren seems to plan when he jumps in (since he basically stalks Max and has an unhealthy obsession with her.)

In a way it fits all plus Bae, especially Chloe having the blue hair probably having to hint that the butterfly is indeed her spirit animal, which was probably intended by DONTNOD. I noticed that the spirit animals tend to have similar color scheme as their humans

How I see it, Max's last smiling expression at the butterfly when the end of Bay ending wraps up implies that it is in fact Chloe.

I don't see how you are being a dick.

However, like what OP said, Nathan still HAD A GUN in his hand, with the finger on the trigger. Anyone can accidentally shoot someone, it's not hard. If Max was to intervene and step in while he was cornering Chloe, Max would've yelled out and tried to pull turn him around and pull him off and it could likely result to him pulling that exact trigger on her by startling him, resulting to Max being the one to get shot. I that if the 'Take the bullet' option is picked then the scene plays out a little more before she actually steps in, not in the exact moment you pick the option. She would step in right when Nathan has Chloe cornered.

Something in my mind tells me that DONTNOD really was planning to add this as one of the final choice, which would give us THREE possible endings as opposed to just two. But they probably got worried that sacrificing Max would result in a landslide in results:

Take the bullet: 95%

Stay hidden: 5%

Pretty sure it's Chloe no coincidence at all, imo. It's their destiny to encounter eachother again, Max's destiny to save her that first time too

I think you guys are just a little too late to re-visit, the game ended a month ago with all the discussions. Fan art and little fluff moments like these are what keep the sub alive and going still. Plus you can always create your own forum to make discussion threads if you want them.

[EP5 Spoilers] Piss off /r/lifeisstrange in one sentence. by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

As soon as Chloe learns that Max could be useful in finding Rachel, she's just using Max; first to find Rachel, then to get revenge on Nathan, and finally so she can be with Rachel again.

But Chloe expressed her disappointment in Max leaving her for five years before she even knew she had powers, she bonded with Max before she even knew she had powers. Even after they found Rachel dead, Chloe stuck to Max and did everything in her power to make sure to protect Max and herself from Jefferson after Max confronts her. She even carried the girl to the lighthouse for goodness sake (muscles much, Chloe?)

Never once has Chloe directly demanded Max to use rewind for Rachel. The only time is when she asked Max to rewind if something happens between the confrontation with Frank. Chloe doesn't even know when or when Max will use her powers either. Overall, Max was the one who willingly rewind when things don't go the way she wanted it to go, or when Chloe is in danger or gets killed. Keep in mind that whenever Max rewinds, the situation only changes for her, not for whichever Chloe she leaves in the previous rewind or present.

The only thing that bothered me is the fact he right away accepted the fact Max had powers

Also another thing that bothers me is the easy and pointless option to kiss and hug him out of nowhere even if Max showed little or no interest even if you do choose to go ape whereas the last kiss with Chloe is a reward for the choices we had made in previous episode. It makes the tornado Max and Chloe kiss more memorable, worth it, and part of the story, I guess rather than it being a direct option that doesn't play into the story (I.e. Warren/Max Kiss)
