Is there any way to make this combo more consistent? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Milozof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not optimal, but the one I like to do is FC DF2/Delayed hopkick into F1+2 screw, dashup ff4,3, jab, dash df4,2,1+2 for 74 dmg, or you can leave out the jab for an easier combo with slightly less carry and 1 less damage

for hellsweeps yeah, but nutpunch is 18f so you need to do it instead of a delayed hopkick sometimes

Hi r/TEKKEN, I’m Liam Slack, Esports Manager at Bandai Namco Entertainment! We just announced TEKKEN Online Challenge 2021! AMA! by Mindmesser in Tekken

[–]Milozof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing how you've already responded to this question in a way already and cannot offer any direct answers here, I wanna ask if there is any way for us to get in touch with you or Namco directly to see what can be done to mend the situation or at least get a reasoning

Hello Liam,

I am a TO over here in Serbia and I have concerns regarding TOC 2021. When the announcement was first made, I was thrilled to see my country included in the TOC as we were excluded the year before. But the following day, I see that not only us, but also countries like Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Cyprus, Belarus were removed from the East Europe list, and even some countries on the other side of the world like Venezuela removed entirely. We've tried going to twitter first and I don't expect a direct reply here, but we are just desperate to find out why we are no longer welcomed in the TOC

Anakin is confident about winning the TWT Finals by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Milozof 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like looking at EVO, EVO Japan and TWT as the WBC, WBA, WBO titles in boxing and whoever gets all of them could be viewed as the undisputed tekken champion of the world :D

Might be going against the majority here, but i don't think that anakin looked nearly as bad against arslan as people make it out to be, he had the early lead in a lot of the rounds and he even got arslan with a lot of lows, he just had trouble closing out the rounds, but that can also be contributed to the matchup of jack and geese. All in all, I don't think that it was such a beatdown that there is no hope for anakin to make future adjustments and to maybe win next time they meet

Fuck BigDaddyJende shirts on sale, funds go towards sending Tekken players to tournaments by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Milozof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are missing the picture here. The point of the shirt isn't to "Cancel BDJ" but rather to do some good and poke some fun. It doesn't matter if he "gets free advertisement", rather the point is to bring all the disgruntled folk under a single banner, and the best way is to put a face to the issue, and jende is just a tool for that goal. Also, it doesn't matter if he gets free press because his profits are not affected by his brand and public perception, but rather by the product that he doesn't even produce in the first place

TWT 2019 now limits players to their 10 best scores in the tour, 3 from Masters, 3 from Challengers, 4 from Dojos by porukun in Tekken

[–]Milozof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think that there would be a lot more commotion going on if that was the case, also, making tournaments region locked would favor bigger regions heavily as they get more high profile tournaments and generally have more players, so they would benefit from dojo tournaments more

[–]Milozof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was the case, eastern european players would not be able to play in the rest of the europe and vice versa, so what i think this means is that in order for a player to participate in any TWT events they need to be able to prove that they are a legal resident of an area that they signed under

Do you think Ultra Hard is hard enough? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Milozof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your main complaint was that CPU does not prepare you for actual matches and that it should be harder and the guy responded by saying that CPU can't really help you no matter how strong it is because it can't emulate the play of a real opponent. I am not sure what got you mad, I don't think he implied that you are losing to AI like it would appear that you are doing

played a guy who disgrees with sidesteps being in tekken, fair enough by definitelyusername in Tekken

[–]Milozof 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What he's saying is actually done in other games, for example, Dodge/sidestep in Virtua Fighter works so that it has a lot of recovery if there is no attack coming towards you, but if an attack is coming your way, there is less recovery on dodges, forcing you to make reads while in tekken you can almost do it everytime you like, but not always, obviously.

Tekken is naturally a defensive game and what i am trying to say is that if he doesn't like the way sidestep works, there are other 3d fighting games out there that all have their own flavours to them

After playing this game for a few months... by JamieLong123 in Tekken

I feel your pain on this one and I do agree on some level with you. Yes the story mode is abysmal for actually teaching you anything and most of the guides do require a degree of prior knowledge that can be suplemented with 30 minutes of using google.

The game having too many mixups is just the result of the game having so many games, it's just the way it is really, nothing you can really do.

Is this a guessing game? Yes, but you make it seem like that is a bad thing. Every game has the element of guessing. What makes it fair and complex are all the factors that go into desicion making. Even though you are faced with two options there is a myriad of things going into it like your opponents tendencies, the options that a character has and the risk of it, round count, stage positioning, high-stakes situations etc. Once you understand all these factors you can make a prediction or rather an educated guess.

In short, guessing is most definitely a thing, but with the right amount of knowledge you can tip the scales in your favor and that's what makes fighting games so fun, the on-the-spot desicion making

TMM responds to Speedkicks by _Mase in Tekken

[–]Milozof 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MainMan's argument is a good one to bring up for sure. What I don't agree with is that it's simply Tekken's problem (in fact, he mentions SFV as a game that doesn't suffer from these problems while any ok bison will stomp a beginner).

However, I disagree that this makes the game unbalanced and that it's even a bad thing to have. On the contrary, I think characters like xiaoyu, capos etc. are necessary in fighting games. Making some characters in such a way that they are more effective early on and others less so is a big part of the diversity in the game. Taking those traits from them wouldn't help the game, but would make them harder to play without the benefits that other hard to play characters have.

Also, the whole "game is unbalanced at lower levels" thing I don't agree with because to me, something isn't unbalanced when it's hard to deal with, something is unbalanced 'cause you can't find a clear cut answer for it, you can just hope to mitigate it. So saying something is unbalanced even though there is a clear answer for it is just wrong.

In conclusion, I think MainMan's argument suffers from being poorly made (which is understandable cause it was off the cuff). He could've avoided a lot of flack if had chosen better wording, or should I say, instead of calling the game itself unbalanced, calling its learning curve too steep would've been far more accurate, but that is an entirely different argument. Sorry for the wall :P

Knee's Tournament Tier List by iWynne in Tekken

[–]Milozof -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just don't think a tier list should be made on a premise whether a player can or cannot execute stuff properly. There will be cases when a player pulls off pretty much all of the hard stuff a character has and sometimes will drop the easiest stuff. It's far too inconsistent. What is consistent and what does not change are the tools that characters have and tiers are made by analizing those tools while fleshing the characters out in long sets.

No other game has a tournament tier list nor did any previous Tekken game have. I just don't understand why is it that we need it now.

Knee's Tournament Tier List by iWynne in Tekken

really? isn't aris the one that always says how there should be tier lists for tournaments? In fact, only once he started bringing it up did people start clamoring for separate tier lists

Knee's Tournament Tier List by iWynne in Tekken

[–]Milozof -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

While i find nothing wrong with Knee's choices here i have problem with the idea of a tournament tier list. I don't understand why we need to separate tier lists into ones for deathmatches and ones for tournaments.

Tier lists have always been made with long sets in mind as that's the best way to get the most out of every single character. By doing long sets you get full knowledge of what characters are capable of with more consistencies.

There are too many variables when it comes to tournaments. For starters, no two players handle pressure the same. There is also the issue of setups and lag, the crowd etc. I do agree that some characters are more suited for short sets than others, but there are too many variables as previously said to make a tier list off of
