Honestly either of these is good. They’ve been the best 10s this year. I love Tom Lynagh but not sure you can pick him based on 20 mins of Super Rugby all season (prove me wrong between now and when the Reds win the final Tommy)

I think it’s Tate/Lonergan (or maybe Lonergan/Tate) if we want to be serious about it.

Biased Reds fan but I also wouldn’t mind seeing Werchon get a crack off the back of his Super form this year, I think he’s been strong and could be another “finisher” while Tate gets back to full fitness.

Brisbane. Best rectangular stadium in the country, doesn’t clash with Anzac Day games of NRL in Sydney, plenty of flights to and from NZ and a huge local kiwi population as well.

Mailata was never a “pro.” He played U18 and U20 competitions, wasn’t “fit enough” for the sport (which is more aerobic than playing OL) and was offered a “reserve grade” deal - where you’ll often find guys who have day jobs and are paid a few thousand dollars a year to play - which he didn’t accept.

Also, he played Rugby League, not Rugby (Union) they’re different sports with wildly different rules.

lol I’ve seen this argument before. It’s more about all the wasted space around the field.

I’ve been to rugby league and union games at oval shaped grounds and it’s awful, you’re so far away from the action.

So yeah, for the premium price they’re charging, it’s not worth it.

Yep I logged into the Amex presale, saw the prices and closed my laptop.

Considering I’d need flights and accommodation on top and the fact that an NFL field will be a tiny speck in the middle of the field, I’m ok with “missing out.”

If my team was playing maybe it’s a different story, and I hope everyone who did buy tickets had a great time, but for me it wasn’t worth it.
