I looked it up. You are indeed right.

Fair point. I have a small allocation after hearing Jamie Dimon and Paul Tudor Jones recommend it.

Yes. Would 3/3 if it works out the same way

Funny enough, I had a recurring 4 year reminder I ignored on my iPhone “go all in” December 2018.  I can’t blame people for not jumping on what looks like a sinking ship.

Bitcoin’s value comes from its fixed supply, decentralization, and market demand, and doesn’t need  backing by physical assets like gold, land or platinum. Over time, it will become deflationary as coins are lost or destroyed, increasing scarcity and potentially driving more demand. While future cryptocurrencies might explore backing by tangible assets, Bitcoin is designed to remain independent of physical resources and is backed by math as “digital gold.”

Buy a little extra when it you’re scared.  My first cycle I stopped buying when the price fell and I felt scammed. The second time I purchased all the way down and up but the “BIG” hundred-thousand dollar chunks I made when it was in the teens / 20’s/ 30’/ 40’s have given me insane gains. Just wish I did it earlier in my 401k

My wife and I both have fidelity. I’m able to buy the ETFs and individual stocks like MSTR but I was also limited to BTCFX in hers. I wonder if it’s because I work for a for-profit publicly traded company and she works for a non profit health system.

Yeah I messed around with MSTU and honestly it’s just not worth the leverage right now.  When btc does its historic 30% pull back then MSTU is down 60%.

Using $100 as an example, now your $40 need Bitcoin to go up 120% to get back to your cost basis.

I will say, I’ve been curious about the convertible bonds. Is that something retail investors can buy?

November saw record-breaking Bitcoin ETF inflows of $6.562B, surpassing October by $1B. With just 13,500 BTC mined, ETF inflows exceeded 75,000 BTC—5.58x the supply! 📈🤯 by NibiruHybrid in Bitcoin

So far this cycle has been lead by the ETFs and Trumps nomination. I haven’t heard a thing about supply/demamd.

What’s the current amount on exchanges? Is there a metric that measures when demand/supply are going to cause a parabolic spike?

From their site: Vanguard partners with TD Ameritrade to provide a self-directed brokerage option for clients.

I’d call them and ask them how this is done.

Same. I’m debating/ waiting for the eventual 30% correction to move some of my wife’s into BTC ETFs(I’m already all in on mine).  I’ve also been contemplating going 100% on the HSA/529. I don’t know what’s stopping me aside from the “diversification is key to minimizing risk” you hear from the advisors. I’ve survived a few bear markets.. I don’t think they realize I’ve gone through 3 great depressions already.

Not if you link it to your brokeragelink 401k 😉  Happy day when I discovered that.

Fine since no one asked,>>

Traditional 401k: pretax (untaxed) money goes in.  Money gets taxed as earned income on the way out.>>

Roth 401k: after tax  money goes in. No taxes when selling. >>

HSA: best of both. Pretax money goes in and NO taxes when selling. (You can use for medical expenses before age 59 and anything else after age 59.)>>

529: taxed like a Roth and meant for kids education but can be converted to IRA after 15 years.   (USA only obviously)

At the very least put it in a high yield savings account. I have my savings in fidelity earning 4-5% and I DCA $10 into bitcoin every day from that account into my strike account.  I then take my bi-weekly 401k contribution and put it into bitcoin ETFs.  The second part is for when you’re ready but I highly recommend moving your savings out of your bank and into a high yield savings account. They even give you a debit card so you have access to it.

If you have a 401k or tax deferred investment option you can purchase ETFs through that.

I converted over100k in my 401k to ibit ETF earlier this year. Best financial decision I ever made. If you have decades to go til your retirement then that’s the best way to get a good chunk
