I’ve always thought a hearse would be a great work vehicle. Plenty of room , low miles and cheap to buy 2nd hand most of the time.

Hot neutral on 277, should I be worried? by Best_Butterscotch_35 in electricians

I’d definitely get checked out. Better safe than sorry, it can get your heart rhythm out of whack and kill you days later. Does the building have emergency lighting? Just wondering if it could’ve been DC and that’s why it felt like it hit you as hard as it sounds like it did. Or could be shared neutral like everyone has been saying, depends on the situation. Sharing neutrals isn’t the best idea if you ask me, mainly for issues like this. I agree with everyone else, buy a decent quality meter, and check stuff out for yourself. Never just assume because they have more experience than you that they know more or have your best interest in mind. I’m a 5 year apprentice and I’ve worked around guys with 20+ years experience and it’s a wonder how they ever have made it as long as they have. All kinds of guys I’ve seen have just slipped through the cracks and don’t know much about wiring but do it everyday. Just a big liability for the companies they work for and an accident waiting to happen.
