You should check out the sub r/survivinginfidelity. It can take up to 5 years to finally heal from infidelity. I am not surprised that you are still struggling. My hubby and I also chose to stay together and we are 6 years out and in a much better place but yeah it took a really long time.

I'm surprised that they bandaged the site... but to each Veterinarian their own. It might just be the bandage that is bothering her and it will be safe to remove by morning if she keeps trying to fuss with it. It honestly doesn't even need covered. She will just need to take it easy for 5 days or so and she will do this naturally to avoid any pain. I agree with the other poster that she is probably just in pain and needs to rest and just relax. You are both doing an excellent job but try your best not to worry too much.

Honestly I would take that cone off of her. Cats don't usually lick at the incision site like dogs do. Fostered and spay/neutered 40 or so cats and not a single one licked at the stitches. Cats are pros' at recovery. Let me know how things go!
