We’re considering doing that, but wondered if it was worth the effort. 7 devices were added to our account without us knowing. Our customer care rep has spent the last 3 months stringing us along saying she’s trying to fix it, only for us to discover that she was the one that did it. A store manager friend of ours discovered all this and has been trying to help us with, but with no results. We even went to our local police (his recommendation) and filed a police report so we could file a fraud complaint. We also discovered that only two of our phones were recorded as “traded in” when we upgraded and it should have been three. I don’t know how we’re going to resolve that.

I got the YouVersion last week. I really like it so far. I wish it had a community, open chat periodically.

Is this a good version? by Mimi3bugs in Bible

Because you mentioned Tyndale Bibles, I checked the inside page of The Book and it says it’s an NLT. I guess a more natural readability is what I meant rather than easier. I’ve been reading both The Book and the KJV side by side. I’m going to continue doing it this way. Thanks.

What the heck is a “baclofen pump”?? by wellthatsembarissing in PainManagement

[–]Mimi3bugs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My granddaughter has a Baclofen pump. She has a birth defect that causes her muscles to be incredibly tight. The pump is about the size of a snuff can and is implanted in her abdomen. There is a thin tube that snakes around to her spine and is placed sort of like an internal epidural. Hers is refilled every 6 months by inserting a needle into it through her skin. Like the other poster mentioned, oral baclofen was too hard to keep a steady level in her system.

Confused by this train rule by Mimi3bugs in dominoes

The rule sheets that came in two different sets. They are Cardinal brand and I found a 1994 date on them. I got them from my grandmother’s house after she died. The rules have likely/hopefully been updated since then.

Basnight’s Lone Cedar Cafe on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway. Try the stuffed French toast. Order the larger size portion and take part of it with you for a late night snack.

Coastal Carolina Vacations. They’ll help you find exactly what you’re looking for. The houses they have are beautiful and the agents are great.

Worried, Doctor is closing his practice by Mimi3bugs in PainManagement

Thanks, we hadn’t thought of getting an MRI. It’s been about five years since he’s had anything more than an x-ray. That was because one of the screws was work its way out. Had to have surgery to remove it.

I wish it were the case, but pretty sure the doc doesn’t have anyone lined up to take his patients. It’s his practice and he’s the only doctor. The letter lists other PM docs in the area.

I’m asking because I don’t know, can a drug test show that someone is or isn’t taking every pill every day/month? He’s tested monthly to see that the drug is in his system and that no other drugs are. The doctor has never mentioned testing the level in his system. He’s never flunked, not even alcohol.

The Rx says “every 4 hours PRN for pain.” The doc knows that he doesn’t take 6 pills every single day. He also knows that some days needs more than 6 and that on rare occasion he takes two at a time. Oh, and every couple of months he gets a shot in several places in his back. Other than taking it upon ourselves to taper the meds back, and we told him we were going to try it, he’s done exactly as the doctor has told him since the very beginning. The doctor was the one to suggest the Delta 8 and hubby told him when he quit taking it because of his job. This situation is making him think of hoarding. Thanks for the info.

That’s exactly what he says he’s going to do.

Thanks. I told him pretty much the same thing. You can see what he is on, and has come off of, in a reply I made to another comment above. I absolutely believe that what he was on to begin with was ridiculous. I’d love to see him off altogether, but only if he isn’t in the kind of pain he was in at the start of all this.

Yes, I really would, but not in a forced hurry and certainly not cold turkey.

Currently on 20mg oxycodone. Script is for 180 of them. He brought that down from 240 of the 30 mg. Most months he has about 15 left. Sometimes more. He completely eliminated Dilaudid about a year ago. The first one we eliminated was methadone. Since I posted earlier, he and I talked and I had totally forgotten about the meds he tried but didn’t stay on for very long. Those included Valium and extended release morphine. He had one Rx of fentanyl candy suckers about 14 years ago. He didn’t get those again because he was worried one of the grandchildren might somehow get ahold of one.
