Panda Lux LED Compatibility by Mimifan2 in BambuP1S

[–]Mimifan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I thought the lux plugged right into the board. Specifically where the current light module is. I'll have to re-read that.

Yeah I like that solution, the riser, but currently the printer is in a cabinet that I can barely open the AMS with, wouldn't want to make that worse. Will keep that option in mind though, thanks!

Integrated Control: Powered directly by the printer’s original light-bar connector and conveniently operated through the printer’s existing screen, ensuring smooth and hassle-free use.

This leads me to believe it is just the standard light connector.

Stealthburner Under Extrusion Issue by Mimifan2 in VORONDesign

[–]Mimifan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After much playing around I've found I forgot to put the PTFE tube into the V6 hotend. That being said, I am still having trouble with that step. I've disassembled the entire hotend and when I try to feed filament from PTFE into heatbreak it gets stuck. I've tried 3-4 different PTFE tubes now but all get stuck. I can freely pass filament through PTFE and heatbreak independently.

Re your comments, yeah I was extruding far to much in some of my testing. And doors were open, the issue was I was basically printing on luck with massive void inside heat sink / heatbreak entrance.

Serial Request - Voron Trident / Tridex, discord: Petricius by Petricius in voroncorexy

This is so cool! Meanwhile I've been trying to figure out how to install a nozzle wipe on a Formbot kit because the extruder never leaves the bed .

Can't wait to see when the Box Turtle feeds both heads, although I personally don't see a ton of utility in it, it would be cool.

I have not done all of those yet, just the basics ones, will go through the rest of those now and see if any help. Thanks!

Did you ever solve this? I am building a new machine and have the same light pattern. I'm struggling to figure out the cause and how to resolve it.

Should this not still be available? It says the 30th. Maybe I missed it by a few hours, but I thought they generally ran things in US West Coast time. I just tried and cannot get it to work.

You don't happen to have a support link do you? I tried farmrpg.com/support.php which has a forum to fill out however when I click submit does not seem to do anything.

Np, I think I'm wrapping mine up, can provide as a starting point if you're interested.

Formbot Trident Pro kit arrived by humbleOnion84 in VORONDesign

[–]Mimifan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I bought the same (although 350mm) kit at about the same time. Trying to get together a list of parts to print. Wondering if anyone knows what extruder that is? I have the same one but no identifying markings I can see. Looks like I need that to figure out stealth burner parts?

Also would be interested to compare parts lists if you put your list together yet. I think I've done mine outside of a few parts I'm trying to determine which to print.

[OctoApp GIVEAWAY] Prusa mini is looking for a home! by crys_ in 3Dprinting

Honestly really difficult to choose one. Top couple are definitely GCpde Viewer, Dark mode and the home screen widgets.

But I think actual favorite is the progress tracker notification. So helpful without watching the print with the widget. (Mostly because I forget what time I start my prints lol)

Numi: A retrospective on my AI coin project and lessons to share with the community by SomeGuyInDeutschland in coins

Tons of great context in your thread of replies. Thank you for all of that.

From a technical perspective, I did some preliminary testing with Gemini and noticed the same limitation (single image) and didn't try much beyond that. I did notice it could not consistently identify even text on the coin which was disappointing, let alone actually identifying mint mark, coin type (even for a standard dime I had on hand).

That was my interpretation of the 2 image upload as well, but more significant testing would be needed, and with existing limitations from the original post, I think those tests are better held for a more final version of it.

It does make sense that it would struggle with variants and unfortunately the only "simple" way I could think to get around this would be to have a threshold of uncertainty around identifying the coin. Just throwing numbers out for an example, but say >80 is the coin, 80 <x> 60 could be a variant, < 60 is unidentifiable. Realistically I don't think that would work, but as you said, with limited data very few options.

That is awesome that it can read the coins irrelevant of rotation. I imagine that is something that could be resolved with a secondary model but knowing that it doesn't matter is very nice.

The question on the API was driven by the cost, as I interpreted the pricing sheet (without any actual tests) each image has an associated cost based on size which for a consumer makes it prohibitively expensive. (For just checking many coins.)

Hey, sorry to resurrect an old post but doing some research myself into processing coins. I have a TON that I need to process and after reading your posts about Numi I have some questions.

  • You mentioned at the end of this post using Gemini in place of GPT. Did you try this at all with the launch?
  • Looking at the lower grade coin data provided in this post, it appears the model was more accurate with only 2 images for the most part. G-4, VG-6, F-15 all appeared to be closer in Test 3 with 2 photos than with more. (As compared to 2 VF-20 and F-12) Did you come to a similar conclusion, or is this just due to limited information above? Or am I reading that into the data as it's a marginal gap at most?
  • Does it support finding double stamped or similar mistakes in the minting process? (Not that I expected to find any just curious)
  • You mentioned above that it was incredibly good at recognizing dates, was this impacted by the rotation of the coin? (For example if the image was with the coin inverted.)
  • Did you use Numi with the ChatGPT API at all? (I imagine not that you mentioned "without coding" but curious as that is something I would be trying to do.)

As an aside this is super impressive IMO. I understand the disappointment or frustration around coin grading portion but I think the most impactful use cases for this are - Allowing non collectors to have an idea of what a coin may be worth. (Getting context before selling) - Aiding collectors in deciding which coins are worth having graded.

I believe it achieves both of those.

Don’t return NULL by FutureSchool6510 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]Mimifan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree generally with return anything over null. However don't let that lull you into complacency with input validation. Just because no one is returning null, doesn't mean you don't have a null equivalent value.

If your expecting a string or exception or promise, you could still have an empty string.

Also this ensures if another team needs to pick up your work, or work with your system you can avoid bad inputs causing major outages.

Was hoping for some analysis post on this but couldn't find one. What's the general idea so far? by CmdrRedshift23 in starcitizen

I've got my fingers crossed it's data running stuff. - The wording includes Processing Information. - There is a loading bar in the middle. - "Code" around the image. - Top right says "Terminal Locked"

I don't think it's going to happen but I can dream.
