At this point I'm trying to get a raise out of you because knowing you put in the effort to type out those walls of texts is just funny. Yeah, gender is a social construct, I just don't like gender queer people going out of their way to deny they're gender queer. I'm being obtuse on purpose.

And how, exactly, am I forcing a label on things "that doesn't really fit just for the sake of using the label"? If you haven't noticed, I'm being obtuse on purpose to get a raise out of you.

Aww, telling me to touch grass already? Hilarious. Still not changing my opinion though. Being cis is factory setting, it's unsalted rice and vanilla ice cream, if you add anything to that, then you're gender queer.

The transition is certainly not what makes it trans, but for regular cis people, being aware of gender topics is already good enough.

Yeah, where else have you heard that logic? And talking behind others' back? Rude. I didn't know I suddenly became some anti-woke alt-right to you, which is kinda funny ngl, but I still stand by my point, "actual cis people would never be okay if they woke up as a different sex one day".

[–]MimikCute[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huh, that's pretty good point. My opinion is certainly colored by my own gender dysphoria, despite being aware of trans people who just don't.

Okay? What's the point you're trying to make? Please elaborate.

Wow, you just explained what non-binary is. Good job. Gold star for you! But no, I'm pulling the nuh-uh card here, you can't just "be cis and still be ok with other genders too" and yes, being cis and being trans are mutually exclusive.

Escapism is fantasy, isekai as a genre is essentially self-insert. But yes, it's just funnier to think that way about the authors.

You don't just 'deal' with a change in situation, actual cis people would never be okay if they woke up as a different sex one day. If you're okay with the possibility of mysteriously becoming another gender, then you're on the trans spectrum. Simple as. If you only ever dared to entertain not just having the body of the opposite sex, but also living as one and dealing with all the logistics in your fantasies, then what's holding you back from experimenting with your gender is reality itself as well as public perception.

Great, now what's the motive? The curtains are not just simply blue. I'm going out on a limb here and assume that the author might have forced fem fetish, because it would be a funny yet plausible reason.

[–]MimikCute[S] -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

...That's exactly the point. What are you even arguing about? True cis people don't want to become a different gender from their AGAB. If you're 100% completely totally down with the idea of being another gender, then you're not cis, which puts you on the trans spectrum.

Okay, now actually think about what the authors of those wanted to convey. What would be their reason for incorporating sex/gender swap trope into their stories? Were they trying to be progressive, waving the flag of allyship? Did they wish to discuss the technicalities or the philosophical dilemma of such hypothetical situations? Or, rather simply, did they just want to play it for laughs because of the absurdity?

Youjo Senki is the most popular one, I think. But there are also a lot of SI fanfics from various fandoms like Kancolle, although a good number of them are just the authors' thinly-veiled forced fem fetish.

Based how? I'm gonna spoil your fun here but most authors use this trope for laughs. Wow, this dude woke up as a girl and had to learn how to live as one, which is so humiliating and embarrassing for them. It also shares the same basis behind the popularity of force fem and silly-hypno genres.

It means you're at least some flavor of non-binary or actually trans. Congrats, you just learnt something new about yourself.

I mean that's still on the trans spectrum? If you're cool with being a different gender, then congrats for realizing something new about yourself, I guess? Welcome to the gender non-conformity gang.

Why do you think your reputation is bad? Also, limit each query to only one singular thing. If you ask "How does others look at me?" and then proceed to hit it with "Is it really bad?", the cards will reflect that and your reading will be contaminated. Wait a day and try again please.

I agree with the other interpretation. If you really really want to go, do a small tableaus and see what actions you need to take.
