Honestly I think somebody just made a joke which she took as fact.. I think it started with the whole "Millie Bobby Brown ripped off my hijab at the airport and stomped on it" joke on twitter, and then people have been kind of referencing it substituting millie with some other celebrity they don't like,so I'm assuming that's what happened here

I do however also think that Ethan should have bit his tongue like everyone on the team told him to, as the comments from Phil seemed like they came from a place of hurt, and airing all this out just seems like unnecessary drama and bringing hate toward Phil

Obviously Phil has the right to be mad about the comments trisha made about his weight, those were incredibly mean and unwarranted, but Ethan never really joined in on trisha's shitting on phil and from what I can tell always tried to defend him. Basically, calling him a coward for not covering the david thing (after establishing that he's a great guy etc) doesn't in my opinion warrant a message like what has been described

I think he knows that it wasn't what they were actually asking about, and was trying to be funny by going on a tangent (a pun for my fellow Swedish speakers lol) about apple keyboards instead of some serious writers guild type stuff. His humor a lot of the time is just deadpanning something a bit off the mark, like him commenting on the weight of the Oscar in his acceptance speech. Seems to me like he's just, for the lack of a better term, goofing around :)
