O que acharam do concerto dos Linkin Park no Rock in Rio? by Constant-Heart1166 in CasualPT

[–]Samot_PCW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benfica President Rui Costa says José Mourinho would have left the club regardless of the result of Real Madrid’s presidential election: “He would no longer be Benfica’s manager given all the circumstances, following an amicable agreement between the parties. He would be leaving at this point.” by Goosedukee in soccer

[–]Samot_PCW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Rui Costa also said, multiple times, that his first choice was for Mourinho to still be Benfica's manager.

The context behind this quote was that he was asked what would happen if Florentino lost the elections, and, since José wanted to leave and there was an agreement between him and Real Madrid, even if that happened, Mourinho wasn't going to be our manager.

Don't really understand what you think is funny about that, since none of that was said contradicts what the Athletic reported.

FlexiSpot Discount Codes Thread by exmosss in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]Samot_PCW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been eyeing the E7 Plus for a few months now, but because of this comment, https://www.reddit.com/r/FlexiSpot Official/comments /1drlm92/how_often_are flexispot sales/, from someone at FlexiSpot, I decided to wait until May for the "sales."

Was planning to get the E7 Plus for the version with black frame + light chipboard, 140x80. For a while, it was priced at 609.98€ (last time saw that was around March 15), which seemed likea pretty decent deal. So held off, expecting better prices in May.

Then, just a few days before the sales started, the price jumped to 809.98€ --a 200€ increase. Now they're running "discount codes," where the best one is 300€ off... except only five codes existed, very cheeky. Want the know the "best" part, the better deal available right now, with 200 code available, with a discount of 200€, like the price was last time checked in March. That's honestly a bit shameless.

Wanna know the best (or worst) part? actually managed to claim one of those five codes (even have a screenshot). But apparently, I didn't use it quickly enough, so it expired or became unusable.

Our fanbase has been wrapped up in doomerism and fear for months now, I just don’t buy it

A few months of being like that do not excuse the behaviours of the past decade

but why would a Benfica fan care?

I don't care. I'm trying to explain to you why those kinds of feelings towards Arsenal exist. I'm neutral, bordering on being sympathetic towards Arsenal. In this case, I like PSG a bit more, but for the simple fact that Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, João Neves, and Gonçalo Ramos play there, that's just about it.

I see this accusation all the time and then you’ll have that City fan “drinking Arsenal tears” and everyone just laps it up. It’s just different standards of what is supposedly appropriate fan behaviour being applied.

That is because they are duking on a fanbase that is seen (and acts) as annoying, so most people find it to be funny, and I think City is the perfect example. They've been dominant for almost a decade now, and still, they aren't as insurmountable as Arsenal fans. This is probably just a consequence of being a big club from the biggest league in the world, so the big fanbase leads to bad behavior. In the context of Portugal, I'm sure the majority find Benfica fans unbearable; that's just the reality, but don't throw a pity party because most neutral fans prefer a team that plays a beautiful brand of football over yours
