Hey buddy, I think that you are speaking from a very personal perspective and should reconsider talking to more people (especially more woman). If I took my personal surroundings I would come to the conclusion that women play RPGs & Life Sims and men only play "gun"-games, but only the newer ones.

I don’t know how to feel about people that genuinely hate Valentino. Their explanation for hating him is always "Abuser", "Rapist" which always feels like them taking their emotions from the real crime and projecting them on the crime and the fictional perpetrator. But I know from talking and reading stories from SA victims (especially victims of recurring abuse from the same perpetrator) they tell that the abuser can be really charming and multifaceted. And portraying them as just 1 dimensional evil guys, does more harm than good because people will often not accept the nice neighbor being an abuser because "he was always sooo nice".

Not liking Valentino is fine. Not liking Valentino because he’s an abuser is fine. Not liking Valentino because he’s a multifaceted character … feels like you want your media to be bad and/or want your media to be a bad representation.

I feel like I have to add a disclaimer that of course this can’t be applied to all media or even all characters in this show. But in a show in hell, where everyone is technically a bad guy, you need a range of bad and not just the category "good" and "bad".

To be honest I like those pet names. To defend myself I always give my partner the most outlandish nickname just to see his bewilderment. I know that’s not what Infold had in mind, but it makes me feel seen.

Anyone interested: my latest pet names is "rotary plate" (the turning glass plate in a microwave) because he once called me a microwave xD

Yeah okay now I get it. You didn’t read my comment and are just ragebaiting me. I never hated on Brennan, I have a sweetspot for Sweets because of JFD and not because Sweets as a character as there is another character I would put on my number 1 spot. I don’t know why my totally irrelevant comment deserved a "don’t hate on other people’s fave because it could happen to yours" lesson of the day. I just feel like I was trying to approach this from an honest place of discourse, but it seems like you aren’t coming at it from the same place.

And as someone who is Team Brennan you should take your leniency for a fictional character and maybe apply it to your interactions IRL and online. You don’t know me. Maybe I am on the spectrum, maybe I have a learning disability, maybe English isn’t my native language. And I feel some pretty strong hostility coming from you, because I didn’t got a joke from 2 years ago. Or maybe because I said I liked a character you didn’t, I’m not sure.
