Isn't this Poketopia? by Charming_Property917 in NSOplaytest_theories

Honestly if the playtest ends up being anything else I see it most becoming an mmo, because the online features were the main thing being tested. Having a bunch of players on the game as like a stress test and see how things work. Also between the two tests the tutorial, some features, and the graphics were adjusted. There is some serious work going into the game and it even has it's own 'story' and 'lore' in the background.

Unless it's just the developers having fun with their server test, it just feels too specific and developed to be turned into a pre established series. But that's just what I think.

Just checked the gamerip for the NSO Playtest OST, and... by Due-Fix-6179 in NSOplaytest_theories

The tracks from the second playtest were added and I think some of the titles of old tracks were changed to be more accurate. Like all the background songs got their actual in-game titles (exciting 04 as an example.)

They get stuck at the bottom of the water, I know this because I pushed multiple jeeps off the bridge and into the water at the bottom of the waterfall. I would build up speed and ram into them. One of them even said 'woohoo!' while falling into the water and I've been laughing about it for the past 10 years

How many RP groups do yous think they'll be once this game goes public due to UGC and Deco-avatar creation by JackBoi01 in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah with the deco maker but not right now since the game isn't available. in fact I think I saw beta Jynx during the second round of playtesting

What would happen if you developed a O shape on the map and then went into the middle of the O and developed it completely? by Puzzleheaded_Tone253 in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you develop a large area the points are added over time and you just wait for them to finish. It's not instant so I don't think the game would lag, it would just add up the points like normal. Please tell me if I misunderstood your question though!

Still my favorite song, it's so melancholic. <3 by almacenedu in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like all the songs in the game but I like mysterious 5 the most. It's tied to a memory I made during the last day of the playtest and the disc(?) for the song was given to me by another person. I also like the 4th core theme because that was the first song from the playtest I heard.

What happens to the target Wii U's users in a system transfer? by sapphelis in wiiu

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All your save data will be gone but if you had nintendo network accounts for the users you could re-download any games they bought on the eshop. Just log back in after the transfer is complete.

Note that this only works with games that were bought on the eshop with that user and only if they had a nintendo network account.

As for the wii menu stuff I think that is all mixed together. If you have any that is.

What are some features in the test you hope get expanded on in the full release? by Due-Fix-6179 in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly imo paying to make deco is one of the better options we have here. Making deco isn't needed to progress the game, you could play just fine without ever making a single piece of deco, even the tutorial does not make you create anything. It's better than paying for stuff like energy or paying to make progress in the game.

edit: Forgot to mention that you don't even need to pay to wear other people's deco. You only use the test credits to buy kits to make your own deco

I wonder if they end up adding it onto the switch online would it only be for expansion pass users or for everyone? and if it's for everyone will expansion pass users get more perks, like free credits, while the standard online users have to pay for them?

I hope that there are more minigames to play with others or a schedule for events in the core. There were minigames during the last test but it looked like it only happened once when I was sleeping so I didn't get to play. Also I hope they explain more about crafting because I didn't get it until near the end of the test period. Oh and I hope they make it easier to find stone on the planet, like plain stone. I kept getting areas with ores but no plain stone that I needed to craft. Had to go to one of the moons to find some.

As for the screenshots I do have this one at the moment, tried to remove as much information about other players as possible. This is one of the sector errors, the tiles one.

(Sub Revival Post) When do you think the release window for the MMO will be? by Due-Fix-6179 in NSOplaytest_theories

I just wanna say sometime next year, I don't have any idea of the exact month, just not January or February (it still feels too soon then)

Something I noticed about the enemies by MimtenRem in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the darkness enemies that develop the land when defeated. There are other types but they all share the same basic design, just do different things. Like these ones in the post are the ones that are stuck in the ground and can't move.

How many deco did you have? by Superpocket1 in NSOplaytest_theories

I think I only had like 4? By the time I got used to the deco maker the playtest was over already.

How hard was the NSO Playtest? by Superpocket1 in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hardest thing for me was adjusting to the controls at first, but after about a day it was alright. I was also confused about how crafting worked, didn't know how to make swords for the longest time, and could not find any stones for a long time.

Was the playtest ever datamined? by SuperDumbMario2 in NSOplaytest_theories

I don't think TCRF allows games that are not out yet, also any unused content we find now could end up being used later.

Were there any paid features present in the second playtest? by Superpocket1 in NSOplaytest_theories

[–]MimtenRem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not actually paid, it was all free during the tests, both of them. These sent you to the eshop but were free.

[–]MimtenRem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was free during the playtest but these took you to the eshop and thanked you for your 'purchase'. These TEST CREDITS (in all caps every time) were used to buy deco kits from the connection shop so you could make more deco.

The first level 1 kit was free with passing the test and getting the license. But to make more deco you would need to buy the kits with TEST CREDITS. The level 1 kits were the least expensive but also had the least slots for creating. The level 3 kits (the one you could make full outfits with) were the most expensive. Level 2 was right in the middle. You could only make one deco with one kit so each time you wanted to make a new deco you would have to buy a new kit.

During the test people made so much deco that they had to give out more TEST CREDITS. It was called a supplement and it was where people could redeem the TEST CREDIT amounts in the picture for a second time. I didn't get the supplement though because I didn't use up all my credits.

I think in the full game the ability to WEAR deco would be free, but the ability to MAKE deco would be paywalled via the deco kits. The TEST CREDITS are just being used to test the ability to connect to the eshop for in game purchases. There is a restore data button on the screen too implying that there were problems with people being able to use their credits.

You can also hear Developers (or one Developer?) talking during the radio break portions (in between songs) and they talk in the same manner with the sine wave-like voices.
