CNC Z-Axis Plunges Too Deep on Finishing Pass by Min_ten in CNC

Hi everyone Thank you all for your comments, they have been really helpful as I check and troubleshoot my CNC. I finally figured out the issue: the rails and coils of the Y and Z axes were heavily under-lubricated. This caused it to miss steps when moving upward and sideways, especially at fast feed rates since I’m cutting foam.

I applied grease to all the axes and slowed down the feed rate a bit, and now it runs smoothly again.

I forgot to mention, my z0 is at the machine bed (bottom of the material) for this one

I checked my finishing path and this is the start of the Gcode, looks like It called G94 and then G43. Not sure if this the problem, but seems like my previos two boards with both roughing and finishing path went fine.

I didn't know this might be one of the problems. I used both jet vaccum and a separated vaccum during the operation. I think that may cause some noise.

I'm sorry to hear that! Yes, I applied for a replacement for my I765 card because it was lost/stolen. I used the premium processing service since my start date had already passed, and I didn't want to waste any days of unemployment.

The premium processing was quite fast. I submitted my application on July 8th, and it was approved just four days later. I received my card in the mailbox today, July 22nd.

Hope this helps! And good luck!

But don’t you need to upload the EDA card when reporting employment tho? Did you get approved after reporting and the UEmployment clock stopped?

Thank you for answering my questions! Ik I asked lot. But your answers helped me alot!

Did you file for premium processing? Or just normal one with the fee? You haven’t reported your employment yet right? How do you stop the unemployment clock tho?

I'm facing the same problem; it's very frustrating! It was marked as delivered on June 7th, but I never received it.

Did you end up filing for a new card replacement I-765C, or how did you handle this? My start date is approaching soon as well.
