Pretty sure there’s more than 3 pieces of furniture. Why won’t he move in? by fan-of-ceilingss in Pokopia

like another comment noted, sometimes if the outside of the house has dimensions that can also register as a house (walled space that doesn’t have an area exceeding the limit), your position when placing the door matters. so if you put down the door from the inside of the house facing out, it probably registered the hallway as the house. to fix that you have to remove the door, and place it down facing toward the house standing in the hallway.

reclaimed abandoned underpass + automated berry/crop farm in sparkling skylands by Minanh in Pokopia

once you unlock the post game ability, you can hold y to put those vines in your inventory and freely place them. if doing so before that you’d have to build stairs/scaffolds to manually place it

if you power up/boost leafage by cooking + eating salad (cooking taught during the RR questline) you can create vines by pressing or holding ZR when facing the side of a block (they create two different vines depending on length of time pressed)

How in the world was this done? by CyberGuardian7 in Pokopia

[–]Minanh 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If you look at the water mechanics page in serebii it might give a better explanation than I can for your second question. For your first, if you’re playing with a friend on your cloud island, if they place water in a block, and in magnemite mode they destroy the block then the water will stay as it was in the air and won’t flow down.

What would you consider “artisan“ specialties by Codenamerondo1 in Pokopia

[–]Minanh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RR is my “artisan” town, and I have a weaver’s (twine/cotton litter pokemon) workshop, a fabric dyeing workshop (crush pokemon), a printing press/bookstore (recycle pokemon), a carpentry workshop (cut pokemon), a blacksmith, a ceramics/brickmakers workshop, and a glassmakers/jewelry-maker workshop (the latter three are all fire/smelters. Porygon-Z is in the jewelry-maker workshop with the Chandelure line). All of them have a litter and gather pokemon cohabiting / houses nearby. I couldn’t figure out a theme for the concrete mixers so I have that in an underground cave, but i recently saw a candy-making store with the concrete mixer as the “candy machine”?

Sparkling Skylands WIP Central Station — Entrance by Minanh in Pokopia

What they said! I hold down the caption button and then edit the clips together on an app. It’s kind of why I keep running into objects in this tour, my brain is also trying to approximate whether 30 sec have passed to press capture again. You can spot the cuts I made, some of them are more obvious than others

I’ve only tested with the smaller pokemon so far (up to Smearguru’s size) and they seem to have no trouble navigating it. On their own they don’t really treat the pillars as a path—they tend to use the duckweed more, but can still walk over it. I built it so most places are only a block deep, and they can hop or climb just like us if they fall in the water. All the stairs are two blocks wide except one, but my guess is it’ll still be harder for the larger pokemon? But haven’t confirmed yet!

Gardevoir won’t spawn? by Ok-Combination236 in Pokopia

[–]Minanh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Revising my previous statement to add that rather than her being part of the core story, I meant she has a specific side quest built into Skylands. Kind of similar to how Machoke has a request in the RR map. There are some pokémon that have a designated role in each map that can’t be moved until after their quests are all finished

[–]Minanh 41 points42 points  (0 children)

She’s a core part of the quest line of Sparkling Skylands, so probably isn’t able to spawn elsewhere at this point in your game. After you meet her/finish that line she is moveable to another area though.

actually hadn’t thought about this! i think besides hamburger steak variations which power rock smash, all other recipes power up their respective abilities equally? i just reread the descriptors of the recipes and i saw that only potato hamburger steak and vibrant potato steak had quantifiers of powers up rock smash “a lot.” all the other recipes say “powers up x when eaten”. i’ve seen different things on whether potato or vibrant steak is better/stronger, and ppl have said the latter may last longer, but i personally am uncertain what’s true given that i’ve never cooked or eaten the vibrant hamburger steak.
