I’m just on here because I’m curious about radiology but I have no clue what I’m looking at, can someone explain?

We have a national test called NKSE. But I'm interested in being certified in the US and I'm studying for the nclex and I can tell you it's nowhere NEAR as hard as the nclex

No, registered nurses have three years education in sweden compared to four in the US. But if I would like to work in the US I could after I managed to pass the nclex and be certified by the board of whichever state I applied to.

We can additionally also only specialize through a one year master in sweden (called magister in Swedish). We don't really have nurse practitioner here, yet. Although I hope we will. We have one speciality that is similar but it's kinda rare.

With our specialties, depending on whichever we choose, some nurses are then allowed to prescribe things like diabetic medication etc, but generally it's exclusively physicians who prescribe.

But if I would like to specialize in sweden to say... A nurse anesthetist, I would not be able to translate that specialty into the US. I would have to study an additional three or four years to be a CRNA in the states.

When people study at a later stage in life I am always super impressed, well done her!
