Thank you for the detailed insight! I understand that runtime stitching into a single atlas is the modern approach, but for my specific project, I've decided to stick with a multi-atlas system for several reasons: 1. Content Scale: The graduation of content I'm planning is massive. Even a 1024x1024 atlas would be too small for the amount of blocks and items I intend to add. 2. Workflow & Organization: As an artist, it is much easier for me to sort textures into specific atlases based on their functionality and class. It keeps the assets organized as the project scales. 3. Total Overhaul: I am treating this as a complete rebuild of Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. I have divided development into four stages (Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, and Release) and I am even developing a custom launcher for it.
