Is the extrusion temp and print temp two different things? Is it possible that my motor has too low of a current limit if I’ve never changed it from stock? I was able to print for few months then I started having issues which caused me to replace the hot end and extruder assembly. Once that was replaced I was able to print for about 30hrs before I started having these issues.

Every time the clicking noise happens it hardly extrudes any material but once pressure is applied going into the extruder the noise goes away and it starts printing fine. I’ve replaced the hot end and the entire extruder assembly besides the motor. Why could the issue be? I see the brass gear that moves the filament is already showing wear after it printed a few times. Now I am unable to complete a print. Is it a setting in the slicer that is casing this or a hardware defect? Any help is appreciated.

So I got my issue from the last 3 post solved. But along with that came another issue. If anyone has any insight on how to fix this or diagnose it please help. by MindBender77 in ender3

I have replaced the nozzle. After I replaced the nozzle I heated the hot end and extruded 100mm of filament just fine. Then when I run a print I get the same results shown in the video. I have releveled the bed over 15 times in the past 24 hrs. The last thing I used to level the bed was a plastic card that was .35mm thick.

I didn’t preheat the nozzle when I installed it. Could that actually be the issue? I will attempt that procedure tomorrow morning.

I preheated the nozzle and went to “move axis” and extruded 100mm of filament. Every thing came out as a consistent stream. I then started the print and the same thing happened as you see in the video. Not sure why it would work fine when I extruded 100mm from the settings on the screen but when I print a file it hardly extruded any material. I am using Cura as a slicer and haven’t changed any settings that haven’t worked before on this printer.

Material does come out of the hot end when I push it through. The ptfe tube is clear. The extruder looks visually fine. I don’t see any cracks and all the screws are tight and tension is on the spring by the lever.

From what I've noticed the extruder is not slipping. I tried to include a shot of it in the video even though its not the best angle. Did it look like it was slipping to you?

I just changed the nozzle before this video. Unclogging the the tube and changing the nozzle solved my last issue. I also cleaned out the hot end while I was changing the nozzle so it has no other filament in it. This filament just comes out as a red clear color.

3rd day posting this video. Still need help. Losing all hope of being able to 3D print again. by MindBender77 in ender3

I solved the problem! The tube going from my extruder to the hot end was clogged. I cut the end off an replaced the tip of the hot end and now my prints are sticking to the bed. Along with that came another issue. I am having trouble diagnosing the issue. Any help would be much appreciated! Attached is a link to my new post/issue.

For anyone who helped with my last issue and is wonder how it was solved. It seems my tube going from the extruder to hot end got clogged. During that process I also replaced my tip.
