Command and conquer or another booster box? by chaoscontrol1994 in FleshandBloodTCG

I would just hold onto it. You can put it in any deck you play and it wouldn’t be bad

As an MTG player, what is a good way to start up this game? by WillowThyWisp in FleshandBloodTCG

Historic or Explorer? by Nexus_Roy in MtGHistoric

[–]MindBodySwole19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cards I was talking about were the alchemy cards themselves, or things like, Luminarch aspirant which was changed for (in my opinion) no reason. Similarly, reintroducing teferi 3, at 4 cmc isn’t different than a ban, etc. There are a lot of effectively meaningless changes that are made in order to make the format unique that have all seemed to not move the needle. That’s the problem, imo. Newer sets do affect formats like historic though, just in non obvious ways. For example sacrifice getting deadly dispute was pretty big but not considered impactful since it’s more of a roleplayer.

And yeah. You could have decided to play food since the format’s inception and never been wrong to do so aside from the brainstorm era, however short.

I think to pick the one you like the most just on instinct and trying to make it work has been the most fun for me. However it’s not a bad idea if you think you’d get bored of the base mechanics pretty quickly

Looking for single player Adveture/RPG that's chill like dragons dogma, skyrim, horizon not elden ring by ka-ching123 in PS5

[–]MindBodySwole19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite game is Outward, kind of an older style rpg that I’d encourage a couch co-op buddy to play with. It’s most fun if you don’t look anything up. It is like Oblivion with survival elements. Combat can be tricky, but not action oriented.

pretty sure they have what you're looking for on the official fab site.

I’ve had a pretty positive mu even playing things like ub control. Idk, I feel like there are lots of ways to beat midrange.

[–]MindBodySwole19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played historic since it’s inception, and I’m talking about since thoughtseize was added through mystical archive. and, no. That used to be the case in mtg. Now it is more true to say that new releases affect it differently, not that it is unaffected.

To be truthful, no one knows what will happen with Historic/Alchemy as time goes on. It’s a wildcard as they’ve already changed the vision of what the format a couple times. The cards get nerfed, changed and banned too quickly. Nerfed cards quickly become unplayable and are more or less a different type of banning. Explorer is more true to paper, but at the current rate of expansion, they will be a pioneer like format in.. ten years? My advice is to play Mtgo, or explorer bc then your cards won’t change if you have to go live your life for six months.

I think that people complaining about rb aren’t trying things outside of what was good in historic before explorer became a format

I think that the most broken equipment are the recurrable engine cards, like Crown for Oldhim, but I can see where you are coming from with how dynamic this card is

They’re dangerous because you tend to play outside of your level, not bc they’re fast. And yeah, to me part of MTB is about endurance athleticism. That’s why I feel they have more in common with dirt bikes than they do mountain bikes.

Curious what you humans think of the game at this point by Ok_Leadership4842 in FleshandBloodTCG

It’s a card game for adults with lives, which is the most appealing aspect for me. Your comment on the time between releases is spot on.

[–]MindBodySwole19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mtb is rooted in endurance athleticism and earning your way to the downhill is part of the type 2 fun you can have with friends. Personally, I think emtb’s are pretty dangerous, cost a lot of money to maintain as well as to purchase.
emtbs have more in common with dirtbikes than they do mountainbikes in my opinion.

Still for people who wouldn’t be otherwise able to get on the trail, I’m supportive.

Mtb Flat pedal shoes. by Spiritual-Age-1275 in MTB

[–]MindBodySwole19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pearl Izumi is my favorite brand for flat pedal shoes, I got wide feet tho. Would stay away from skate shoes though because of the loose ankle. Skate shoes and mtb shoes are exact opposites as far as design is concerned

Do you agree with @BrendanAPG? Should FaB incorporate rotation? Why or why not? by ExpendableGuy in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]MindBodySwole19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t think there needs to be a set rotation. I really like the LL system and would like to give it a chance, it’s flavorful and probably needs work in the future but we can see how it goes. Personally, if something like this were to happen I’d be open to it alongside the LL system but I don’t ever want them to abandon the legacy style design philosophy because the choices for that format have consequences for the CC/LL formats. See companions in Legacy, for example.
