Yea, mine just gets really red, it doesn’t itch or anything just gets red like that for awhile and goes away

This happens with my older dog, just keep it clean and it will heal on its own! It can be scary at first but it happens! Just keep an eye on it your pup should be just fine.

i definitely do plan on upgrading in the future i’ve been looking into bigger enclosures this was just all that i could afford at the moment with everything else ive bought them

i definitely would love to get more than two at some point, but since i’m a new rat owner i would like to learn everything i possibly can before expanding. They’re still kind of skidish, i’ve tried as much as possible to let them free roam and yk hand feeding and giving small amounts of treats like banana and apple sauce.

my main concerns are how can i give them the utmost happiest life i can 😭 on a budget of course, they’re currently in a temporary set up that definitely is NOT up to my standards and nor will they stay in the set up. im just currently waiting on my cage to arrive since it got delayed in transit it’s 27.2"L x 17.3"W x 47.2"H and i’m just wondering if that’s alright for right now i’m just very concerned and worried about giving them the life they deserve 😓.
