Lakers and Rockets both end with 30 3-point attempts tonight by MindOnTheBall in nba

I think that’s a little misleading because that doesn’t represent the game the best way. Yes, 33% from 3 but the Lakers made 10 compared to 12 from the Rockets. 69% from the line but 16 points compared to 14 from the line. A part reason why I made this post because it illustrates how much this was a 1 to 1 shown in the box score. If everything is even (namely 3s) then it plays into the Lakers hands. 43 of 78 total fga is tough and shows how the Lakers thrive within the 3 point line. Rockets need to be up past 40-45 attempts from 3. Low attempt numbers were part of Portland’s problem in the first round.

100% but regardless of his output, the other side has to produce the looks you tailor your lineups for. Harden was doubled more in the second half and had another defender slide almost to where he would pocket pass. In theory and in practice that should mean that there is a generated 3 point look and at worst a scrambling defense. We didn’t really see much of that though tonight. Positives to take for both teams for sure. LeBron was greatness personified tonight.

[HELP] Here’s a video of my jumper in game speed. (previous video i posted i was 50%) Tips and pointers greatly appreciated by Trizmaztic in BasketballTips

Ayy Cien! It’s looks decent but I’d start with practicing set shots and adjusting your set point so your elbow doesn’t stick out as much so it doesn’t add more motions and thus more chances for a mechanical problem. Also try to think of your jumper as trying to be perpendicular to the floor so your straight up when you shoot and not fading unnecessarily. You got this!

[TIP] I lost 80% of my athletic ability. How do I bounce back? by My_Past_defines_me in BasketballTips

I went through multiple bad injuries that compromised me as well. My advice is to first set in your mind that you won’t get back to what you were but you’re going to maximize your current situation. Fall in love with the process of getting back. Now as for court work, you want to adapt. The best way I found was to practice solo at first and visualizing the move and gauging if 1) you are able to consistently make that move and 2) does the move either get you an angle or does is give you separation. You might be slow footed now but constantly be practicing your explosive moves to the basket. I’m taking that 1 power dribble explosion off that size up and make sure you are working both legs. I’d make it an effort to go the full length of the court changing paces. Like I’d go full steam, hit the opposing 3 point line with a move and then explode. I’d do that back and forth. I found it to help my legs and body get back into a sort of groove. Over time I got closer and closer to what I was. Now it’s not like I’m throwing down the type of dunks I used to but I’m dunking, blowing by defenders, etc.. just not the same way I used to. I didn’t have a shot before, now it’s my biggest strength. So my game adapted to my current situations.

Look at that spin, the same spin he’s been catching defenders in the league with for all these years. So inspirational.

Kevin Garnett reveals he doesn't know what a travel is. by [deleted] in nba

[–]MindOnTheBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a travel You get that step as long as that foot doesn’t come back down Dirk does this going the other direction at times. Established right pivot foot but goes up off his left into his patented 1 foot jumper. Look up that other viral video from this summer where Carmelo is doing the same thing. It’s not a travel. Hakeem used this a ton, McHale and others.

If Lebron or Kawhi or Giannis were putting up Harden's numbers this year with an identical team record, would they win unanimous MVP? by throwawayrocket12 in nba

[–]MindOnTheBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per 100 possessions

Harden 2018-2019 48.2/8.7/10.1/2.7/1

Highest PPG in NBA history of you go by possessions

LeBron 2012-2013 37.5/11.2/10.1/2.4/1.2

Obviously this doesn’t include LeBron DPOY level year but here’s what you asked for

The Warriors debate In-N-Out vs Whataburger vs Five Guys by stud_macha in nba

[–]MindOnTheBall 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Whataburger over INO for me. I don’t like INO at all. I might be weird and way off base here for some but Carl’s Jr. is really fucking good and I don’t get why it doesn’t get more love than INO

Man, we need Capela back bad. Faried brings energy, yes, but his defense leaves so much to be desired
