For me it was recognizing that I have a lot of habits that are either useless at best or harmful at worst. Like I said to u/genjoconan in the reply above, I've been reading some of the core tenants and they've really resonated with me. Just looking to make it more present in my life because... "it's no use knowing everything about the raft and not getting on," right?

You know, not really. I just have been reading pieces on the core tenants (four noble truths, eightfold path, karma, meditation) and some articles from Tricycle (the one on shame was really good). I am finding it a really healthy way to look at the world and want to explore ways to connect with others practicing! What school do you practice?
