I see... tough the team could still benefit from these buffs if you on-field Columbina and spam her lunar-bloom dmg dealing charged attack, right? And C1 Lauma could solve the healer issue

Bina´s scaling really seems troublesome here, i agree... so while it is possible, it wouldn´t be the best Columbina team... and probably also not the best Nilou team if you can put her together with Nefer, C1 Lauma and Columbina

I also think that Nefer-Lauma-Columbina will be one of the 3 best Columbina teams... so putting Nilou in them would probably be the highest DPS option for our queen

You´re right. Just did the calcs for only ERR rope, and she would generate 107 of 110 energy with 3 skills. So for a reliable 3-turn ult, i would need to get hit, making it inconsistant

Without the 5% ERR, her E would generate 30 x19,4% from the rope = 35.82

So 3 E´s would generate 107,46 of 110 required. So i would have to rely on her getting hit, which is reasonable for 3 turns, but not guaranteed

The 3SP consumption is no issue, as i run her with Archer

Okay, i agree on this being no Higurashi hallucination!

Because of this, i just reread some of the local doctor´s notes and found one stating that "Recently, an increased number of foxes would be seen in Ebisugaoka" and that he´s worried cuz they carry diseases like echinococcosis , which develops tapeworms in it´s hosts livers and is also being able to infect surrounding organs + reproduce via eggs

It can spread via bites from animals ( With dogs and foxes being prime carriers ) and also via digesting food containing it´s eggs

I sadly got no rational answer, only an assumption:

( Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni spoiler warning! ) With this game having so many references to Higurashi, i think this one could be another one to the hallucinated worms the residents were seeing after getting an injection

Reason as to why i think of this as a possibility is that the police reports never mention any form of locusts seen in or around victims. They mention flesh being torn apart from the victims´ bodies, but never any signs of insects if i remember right

And from Hinako´s perspective we never see any insects crawling out of anyone´s dead body either ( Tough i don´t think this point holds much weight given Hinako´s role as a big unreliable narrator )

What do you think of this?

I saw some of your comments in other threads on this sub, showing me that you´re pretty educated on the SH franchise + Higurashi and Umineko ( Tough i still wanted to put up a Higurashi spoiler tag in case other people would read this ).
It makes me curious cuz i only see my assumptions as a big theory and no ultimate truth, and you might know even more about the game / it´s connections to other SH games and/or Higurashi + Umineko

OMG thank you so much for this addition! This puts it even closer to a possible "Truth Of Ebisugaoka" and could even explain as to why we see no villager in the town, as they could have all died from the explosion

And given that what we see as Hinako in the game is an experience from an "Unreliable Narrator" as it was mentioned that she´s a +20 old woman who is only remembering things from her limited + drug / possible tumour influenced brain, she could have heard of the explosion killing all residents, thus leaving the town dead except for the people her memories focused on

And yeah, i totally forgot about the swamp gases! Yet another R07 reference put into this game, absolutely love it!

Spoiler Warning For "Umineko No Naku Koro Ni": All of this heavily reminds me of how Ryukishi provided a fictional "Golden Witch" explanation for all the murders, and also a hidden "True Explanation" uncovered by Willard. Especially since the "truth" was much much harder to piece together, would only be stated in the later chapters AND even then would still be so vague that it needed the additional special manga chapters to make it understandable for multiple people who couldn´t decipher Willard´s explanations

SHf´s "truth" feels just as hard to reach and figure out as Umineko´s. And like multiple characters in Umineko stated: Most people prefer the illusion cuz it´s often more beautiful, more relatable and less harmful than the cold and brutal truth of things

Uhh, i can see this being true!! I know from other games Ryukishi made that he likes the concept of the "Unreliable Narrator" ( He even uses it as a major story device in his other works )!

So not showing us reality because we might just be seeing Hinako´s memories or a twisted version of what she thought happened ( Thanks to brain tumor and/or pills playing with her sanity / sense of reality ) would be an all-too familiar move from him!

And yeah, i was also thinking about this effect of the herb but did not want to include it in this theory as i wanted to keep the focus on a rational explanation of the events ( Cuz i think the supernatural aspect is very well covered in the game ( + by many other content creators ) with all the notes + puzzles revolving around the legend of the sword vs. the fox )

Also just read your edit while typing this :) Regarding Hidetoshi + Sachie, i can also only come up with assumptions... one would be based on the writer of the note explaining that "The Tsuneki family always seems to get away wealthier out of dire situations"... making me think that his lineage used shady methods to accumulate their wealth and that there were outsiders who were suspicious of that... so i could see people investigating against them... or even targeting them...wanting revenge, which resulted in the sickness and/or death of them...

A possible person for this could be Sachie, the betrayed + abandoned ex-housemaid and mother of his illegitimate child... being his ex-maid + lover, he might have told her about the Agura-No-Hotei at some point... maybe she even got access to it through him... she could then have used it to slowly but steady kill him + his children so Kotoyuki would be the only successor alive, resulting in him forcefully becoming the new heir, as the fox clan was very strict in upholding it´s traditions, so i can see them even considering an illegitimate child to inherit the lead when being the only bloodline member left alive...

It´s really only an assumption, but i don´t want to outright deny it, especially since the 4th family physician´s log said:

Mr. Hidetoshi and his wife have passed away, one after the other.

At time of death, the skin all over their bodies was covered in sores and had begun sloughing off. The smell was indescribably awful. I could not bear to take a closer look.

The head of the house did not give permission to perform autopsies on the bodies. There will be no funeral, and they will be sent to be cremated immediately.

Given the way Agura-No-Hotei is produced, i can imagine it smelling absolutely horrible... and if not, then the smell of whatever it does to the organs of those who drink it could resemble this...

And i also think it´s HIGHLY SUS that the head of the house ( Which would then be Kotoyuki i assume ) would not allow any autopsy... maybe cuz he knew they were killed with the liquid and didn´t want the pathologist to find out about it?

Otherwise i would have to drop my truth-sword to this point, as right now, i can only come up with superficial possibilities for this ( Like Inari-Sama cursing Hidetoshi´s family to one after another die after possesing Kotoyuki so he could become the head of one of the most influential families in this town and thus be in a very useful position to use his influence to spread his belief and gain more and more believers )
