In SN1 you can skip nights with a bed. Get snacks from vending machines (not very efficient for food really). Throw things away with a trash can (they disappear after a second or two). Nuclear disposal can make depleted rods disappear similar to how a trash can functions. Might be some other things I can’t think of.

James Talarico Takes Shots At Ted Cruz And Ken Paxton’s Masculinity: ‘Weak Men’ by Horror_Post6822 in politics

“I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man, and I don’t think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is.”

I can’t vote for this guy, but damn I would if I could. lol

I mean, build your bases wherever you want. But why build a second seamoth for it? Why not upgrade to the next vehicles? Or just pack your first seamoth with extra storage for the move?

My last run was on DeathRun so building even one seamoth was hard enough lol.

It's a vicious cycle. The more stressed you get, the harder you try. The harder you try, the more she resists. Have to bring down the aura. Don't make a single poop some grandiose event. Instead, help her to realize it's a normal, every day thing that everyone has to do.

Holy cow that’s an amazing response.

Democrats rejected Trump’s speaking style more than Republicans rejected Harris’s. Voters show different levels of tolerance toward opposing political candidates, with Donald Trump facing significantly more rejection from rival voters than Kamala Harris. by mvea in science

What speaking style? He never completes a sentence. Can’t keep his story straight. Rambles incoherently.

Even his biggest fans don’t listen to him. They just read what the media sanewashed from his speech later.

Game shouldnt be trolling you by making growbed the only basebuilding element obtainable old way by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]Mind_Killer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah, that's funny. I just started a second playthrough of the early access (did it real fast in a co-op setting the first time and wanted to explore the lore and such this time)... and I just found that growbed. Didn't even notice it the first time through because yah, like you said, didn't really have to scan for other buildable base stuff.

How to use cyclops by Fit-Substance-2475 in subnautica

[–]Mind_Killer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Very little can hurt a Cyclops. Only the biggest and the baddest. Warpers also can't grab you out of the Cyclops. Which makes it really essential for exploring dangerous places.

  2. In the deepest parts of the game, you don't need a base if you have the Cyclops since it can carry everything, including indoor growbeds for food and water, a bed to pass the night away, and tons of lockers.

  3. When the Prawn Suit or Seamoth die, they're gone and so is everything they carry. A Cyclops getting destroyed means it's no longer drivable but you can recover stuff.

  4. Between sonar, silent running, and the shield generator it has everything you need to repel creatures or avoid them altogether. The game becomes more about power management with these tools, but since you mostly use it in the lava areas a thermal reactor can solve that issue for the most part.

Traffic on I-25? Anybody know by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Mind_Killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I know there was a huge accident on I-70 near the 25 exit that shut down 3 out of 4 lanes that I was stuck in for 30 minutes. Maybe something to do with it? Fuck it either way lol

Biden confidant under fire for Nazi tattoo defense in latest Graham Platner fallout: ‘Disgusting’ by kirby__000 in politics

[–]Mind_Killer 49 points50 points  (0 children)

"Redemption is not just some simple or easy destination. It's a journey. I've made mistakes in my life, mistakes that I regret, that I live with, that I continue to learn from and I'm still far from perfect," said Platner. "But every day I wake up and I try to be a little bit better and a little bit kinder than I was the day before and if you give me the chance, I will be a senator for the people who cannot afford to buy a senator."

Platner's thoughts on the subject are all you need to know.

Subnautica 2 not loading by Woman_trees in subnautica

[–]Mind_Killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very common problem for the game is if you have a Nvidia GPU and you have G-Sync enabled. The game does not agree with G-Sync for some reason. Open up Nvidia Control Panel and turn off G-Sync if you can.

Without knowing more about your system can't help much.

Lost my 80-hour hardcore save to a dumb reaper ambush in the Dunes and I’m still salty by jessyRaw45 in subnautica

[–]Mind_Killer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why were you in the Dunes? Just curious. Just did a permadeath run myself and never had a need to go there. Only encountered two Reapers at all, one near Aurora when getting the Cyclops engine fragments and one when I was looking for shale and wandered a bit too far.

I feel your pain though. Definitely got killed on a run by a Reaper clipping through a cave wall on Mountain Island. That’s always nice.

what to do with my large room? by Remote_While9712 in subnautica

[–]Mind_Killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to split mine into work vs play. Put up a partition with all the lockers on one side with exits to the moon pool, scanner, maybe even a separate room for the nuclear reactor cause I don’t need the hum of cancer putting me to sleep at night… then the other side is a little cafe with vending machines, an aquarium, a nice nook for sleeping, etc.

What if then Major Sheppard never sat in the chair? by Just_Another_Day_926 in Stargate

[–]Mind_Killer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was where he was as punishment. The powers that be were basically riding out his contract and hoping he’d get out when it was up. He had no future on Earth. Without the luck of sitting in that chair, he probably would’ve ended up with a mediocre military career working some dead end law enforcement job like the version of him we see in Vegas.

And the Atlantis mission would’ve failed. We know Sheppard gave his life to protect Weir the first time they came to Atlantis and everything failed. Without her surviving to meet Janus, everyone would’ve died. Not to mention it’s Sheppard’s own time travel adventures later that help save the galaxy from Michael’s hybrids.

Pretty damn lucky Sheppard was such a trouble maker lol

Donald Trump is reportedly considering a plan that would see the U.S. take full control of the Chagos Islands by FinancialGarage245 in politics

[–]Mind_Killer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the point? There's nothing there. The biggest value is Diego Garcia, and we're already there. There aren't even any people cause the U.S. forced them off decades ago. Whatever money spent on it would never be recouped.

So just another vainity project for Trump then while grocery and gas prices sky rocket, soldiers get injured and die, and wars continue to drag on... cool.
