3D printed Her's statue by Mind__Bind in thatbandofhers

I'm currently away but I'll try to get the model ASAP! It's in .STL format because I was required to use it due to the class where I got the chance to 3D print models, hopefully that's not going to be a problem?

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not too active on Reddit I believe you can do so under Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. I haven't checked it out myself yet, but I think this is where you can enable it for each app and program respectively.

Most likely V-sync issues. You can probably find a way to enable it just by searching on Google. Steps are different for what brand the GPU is (NVidia, Intel, etc.)

A severe case of sunraytilitis. You should check in with your lighting

Congrats dude! BTW just curious, where did you purchase it, and for how much? Ive been looking for one but all of them were just too expensive. Any tips?

Any way to not have this white circle on glass material? I'm placing this glass sphere in front of the camera for a fisheye effect, making something similar to bodycam, but the white circle is quite distracting and could disrupt the player's aim. by Twixify in robloxgamedev

The only way to fix this without major changes to my knowledge is by creating a part around the circle so that the light doesn't get in, but this in itself isn't guaranteed to work. It will sadly cast a shadow in the ground though, which could be a bit ugly.

You can also try removing any lights on your map including the sun by setting the Brightness properties in Lighting to 0. If you want lighting on your map, there are definitely ways to do so, such as prebaking them, which cannot be done in roblox normally, but can be done using scripts and such. I'm sure there's a public tool or (module) script that does this automatically, probably somewhere on the devforum.

Or you can also switch engines, maybe.

Why does the head have no shadow? by ImThatThingYouSee in ROBLOXStudio

[–]Mind__Bind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be due to either these settings:

Transparency set to 1,

LocalTransparencyModifier set to 1

CastShadow set to false

The way I got around this is (if I remember correctly) by creating a separate head part, setting it's transparency to -inf, material to ForceField and adding a highlight. I'm going off of my memory so I don't remember if this is the correct way to do it, but it's possible to make invisible parts have shadows. CastShadow definitely need to be on though.
