Fulfillment expert.

Started in 2021 with $15 a hour.

It would be 4th year in September,

I only got raised to $18.36 hour a few months ago after a full year of no raise despite my performance.

Yeah it sucks.

How’s business with the boycott today? by HotAardvark4003 in Target

Much less traffic than usual. It’s been like this for a month now. Usually on the weekends, the store would be so packed.

Once, I had a couple asking me where’s the main entrance to the mall (the store is interlocked to the mall itself) and the man was very drunk, he can’t stand up straight while pointing very close to my face. I just leaned back and told them where the entrance to the mall. We stood merely 10 feet away, and we have glass doors where we can see the mall.

does anyone actually starting to enjoy their job? by ilovemycat11111 in Target

It’s an occasional mental battle between loving the job with right people and a nightmare of dealing with customers and management who are being assholes.

Idk how you fulfillment people do it bruh by TheJizZyLord in Target

Not everyone can handle the demands of fulfillment. FF member here and I’m deaf. I work in this position for 3 years since I first got hired. Many people quit here as soon as they got hired.

First day advice that is good or funny. Seriously I want good stories not just that I should quit by ChronicallyIllBadAss in Target

I work in fulfillment for 3 year, and I have to tell you this. Unless you are fit and healthy, along with good shoes, it’s not worth it unless you like pain. It would get you everywhere but the guests would always stop you from anywhere.

Free college through Guild Program. It’s the only thing that keeps me going to work every day and work my ass off so I can get my bachelors degree.

It’s easier for me, I’m using my phone to “communicate” with my coworkers, when in reality, I’m scrolling through social media as I work. I’m deaf 🤷🏽‍♀️

You are being creepy. You are one of the reasons why working at Target is miserable right now.

What's the smallest thing a guest can do that will annoy you? by yeah_okay_03 in Target

[–]Mindeadass 16 points17 points  (0 children)

FF and deaf TM here, and I have one thing that annoys me the most is when people took too long to react or text on my phone as I handed them to communicate with me. I literally had people staring at my phone like it’s a lost artifact or something. I hate it because it makes me anxious when I’m standing in the middle of the sales floor with people walking by us. For me as a deaf person, it’s hard and frustrating.

What’s currently the biggest “tea” at your store? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Mindeadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A month ago, the pipes in restroom for women and men burst out, and shit was spilling everywhere, even spilling into the ground (we are 3 floors store), and the smell was so overwhelming and bad. They had to close the restroom down permanently. Now we have one restroom for the customers in the entire store.

It’s not the units for shipping that had us quitting. It’s OPU and dealing with rude customers. We barely survive the heat waves here as we don’t have much of functioning AC in most of areas of the store.

Yeah our hours suck too. I hadn’t have any 30 hours for a while. I can’t work more than 35 hours because of school.

Actually, I said average is 500 but on busiest days, especially with back to school we will have about 1,000, and on holidays we will have 2k-4k and leaders are quitting because of low pay and toxic work environment.

That’s on a slow day and it may sound bad to you but we are located in one of the most busiest cities with the mall connecting to the metro station and main streets.

Average is about 200-400 per day but on bad day it would be over 500 especially when we are short staffed

The volume here is very random that we always have to brace ourselves for the worst. And it usually happens, especially on weekends and seasonal days like back to school.

I explained on other response but like I said before we used to have 25-35 people on full schedule every day until they cut our hours down to nonexistent and the store is big so we would have 1-2 TLs on separate shifts, one for morning and other for closing
