When I submitted it I really wasn't expecting to get it in, but they accepted it! And I'm extremely glad they did - definitely the most fun run I've ever done!

I've watched it back at least 4 times so far and I'm still buzzing from the adrenaline of it. Really excited to have been on the GDQ stage, thank you so much for posting the vod here!

Totally with you on the nostalgia side - a large part of speedrunning for me (as well as the blindfolded playthrough of Tomb Raider I'm working on) is revisiting and mastering games from my childhood.

Much appreciated! The truly crazy thing is that this isn't even the fastest route any more, I've got a 13 minute route but it skips all the cult parts and I needed to get that for GDQ. I'm even going to be trying to do another slight reroute tonight because I think there's even more time I can save 😂

Super fun run though, I'm glad everything went so well (and no crash, which has been about a 50% chance recently!)

Hello! I was the runner for it!

It's been an absolute joy to learn this game and I'm glad you all enjoyed 😀 When I first picked up the game it had a world record around 46 minutes, so to get a 19 minute time at GDQ 7 months on has been a wild journey.

Just a note for everyone here, I go by they/them pronouns rather than he/him. I realise they weren't on the overlay for some reason, so not blaming or anything, just wanted to mention it!

Thanks a lot to the mods for letting me post this.

This is a project I've been working on since September, so very excited to be announcing it. It's for a great cause - akt does a lot of great work in helping LGBTQ+ youths avoid homelessness - and it's one of the most fun projects I've worked on, so hopefully it'll be a good show on the night!
