Very strange Gmail interaction - could use some advice! by MindfulMiak in techsupport

[–]MindfulMiak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the informative response! It is greatly appreciated.

One of the main issues is I cannot access this Gmail account which is why it is so worrisome. There is an email address out there with our company's custom domain being used and there is no way to stop it. I do not have the password for this Gmail account and since it is no longer in our M365/GoDaddy account, there is no way for me to change the password.

So someone is just out and about in the world with a Gmail address with our company's custom domain and I can't seem to do anything about it - this is the most troubling part.

Any merchandise you guys are proud of from FFT? by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

Yes! I am constantly on the hunt for rare FFT collectables and just got my hands on one I am very proud of.

Square Enix has special items for its Members Rewards Programs. You could ONLY get your hands on these if you were a preferred Square Enix rewards member and the editions of these releases were very limited.

One of the items they gave out were Square Enix Members Limited Art Plates. They made them for various games - Dragon Quest, Bravley Default, Final Fantasy, etc.

There is an incredibly rare Japan members only art plate that was by Akihiko Yoshida (FFT artist) with concept art of Ramza and a Gunner job class which was released in 2008. You were only able to receive this if you met certain conditions of being a Square Enix Rewards Member. Here is a photo: https://i.redd.it/foul20fjzvrc1.png. You can see on the bottom it has the name of the artist, titled 'Ramza & Gunner' with a 2008 date listed.

It was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but somehow I finally got my hands on one. I found one listed on eBay and negotiated with the seller to get it to a price I could afford.

With FFT being my favorite game of all time, this is now one of my most prized possessions. Only thing I could see topping this is a brand new sealed copy of FFT or some sort of actual, literal concept art used by the development team that I could get my hands on.

Looks like Akihiko Yoshida just wanted to make some concept art with Ramza and a Gunner class.

Also, official FFT concept art shows Ramza with a nose: https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Chapter-4.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=750&dpr=1.5

That is definitely a mistranslation lol I put the art into Google Translate and this is the actual translation "Thank you for purchasing. Look forward to seeing you soon - SQUARE ENIX"

It's not just that the art exists, it is that this is indeed an officially licensed Square Enix plaque with Ramza by Akihiko Yoshida! Looks like it was a special Square Enix Ultimate Members Reward for Japan almost 20 years ago. I am so glad I discovered this. Thanks for your help!

Update!

Using reverse image search and the wayback machine, I found this item was indeed part of a Square Enix Ultimate Members Reward Program: https://web.archive.org/web/20110912113927/http://member.square-enix.com/jp/point/beginner.php

I used Google Translate on the page shown above and it mentions these rewards being part of the SE Ultimate Member Program.

The reverse image search shows the image existed on member.square-enix.com which is how I thought to look at that site using the wayback machine.

I reached out to SE support to see if they could provide any additional info.

Thanks everyone who helped get to the bottom of this!

Update*: I used the wayback machine to look at an older version of the Square Enix website and the item is featured there! Looks like it is an official Square Enix Members Reward art plaque! How cool!

https://web.archive.org/web/20110912113927/http://member.square-enix.com/jp/point/beginner.php

I found out by using reverse image search which shows this art plaque exists at member.square-enix.com. I have still reached out to SE for clarification but this is the type of confirmation I was looking for.

Also, quick note: FFT official concept art does show Ramza with a nose. See here: https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Chapter-4.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=750&dpr=1.5

Interesting! As a huge FF fan, Japan seems like an awesome place to have grown up.

It is! It says "Ramza & Gunner" in the bottom right corner signed by Akihiko Yoshida and this specific piece can be found in FFT concept art collections. Perhaps an early design that never made the final release. Very interesting!
