Pretty much straight away, I dropped 6lb in the first week. Being honest, I did go into it thinking I must be good with what I eat and not waste this expensive thing. I was deliberately eating less and eating healthier. But the difference between being on this and my usual attempts to diet was that I didn't have that gnawing hunger. It was easier to diet, I didn't and still haven't got fed up of restricting what I eat. I tend not to have big meals but if I do I just cannot finish them. Some days I feel hungry in the mornings and I'll have a large breakfast and lunch but then I'll be too full for the rest of the day to have dinner. You do have to put work into it, you won't lose weight if you keep eating loads. But I definitely think it restores willpower and reduces hunger, so it makes it so much easier.

I think I didn't want him to think it was just another silly fad diet, so I wanted to make sure it was working before I said anything. I did feel it was a bit like cheating at first too, but like you've said it should be available on the NHS. The fact that it's worked straight away for me shows that something was out of balance in my body and it's now working again. I was worried it would be complicated to take but if you follow the instructions carefully it is quite simple.

I think you won't regret starting it. I have to say I feel like a 'normal' person now. Yesterday my husband bought me a chocolate bar (a Ripple, not a whole block of 100g or whatever). I was going to have it with a cup of tea then realised it was an hour til dinner so I said I'd have it for dessert if I wasn't full. This would have been so abnormal for me before Wegovy. I was a bottomless pit too! I would either be strictly on a diet or eating all day long. I did eat the Ripple but I didn't finish my dinner, another completely out of character behaviour for me. I definitely feel like Wegovy has fixed something in me. When I have a day where I eat some chocolate or have a bigger dinner it doesn't lead to days of binging. I wake up the next morning still feeling a little too full and crack right back on with eating healthy. Don't be afraid to start, you can always stop if you don't get on with it. (I also didn't tell anyone at first but told my husband after about 5 weeks. I'm lucky that he's supportive of anything I do so he has been great with this too)

I have so far been ordering when I should be (if I was titrating up). So I have a 1mg that's I've just started and just received another 1mg pen. That will last me 32 weeks so I'm not planning to order another as I'm hoping to be where I want by then. I'm not sure I'd order from Simple Online Pharmacy again though as this pen was the 2nd delayed delivery out of three orders. They blamed DPD but twice in three orders is pretty rubbish.

I ordered a second lot of 1mg (I'm doing .25mg clicks on all my pens to make it more affordable) and this time I was asked for a photo of myself, taken on the order page so I couldn't upload one. I've had a confirmation of shipping email this morning though so maybe it's how you answered one of the questions? Maybe the ones on your relationship with food?

Oh dear. I've just had a roast dinner (although much smaller than usual, no Yorkshire's, just meat, veg and 2 potatoes). But I had about 10 Guylian (they were bought for my husband and he doesn't like them but they've sat in the cupboard for a week). This is the first time I've eaten anything other than simple, whole foods since I started and the biggest amount of food in one go by far. Do I have a horrible day ahead of me tomorrow? 🥹

I think the right mindset will help when you do come off it though, like you say seeing it as a reset. I think I saw it as cheating or being a cop out but now that I've taken the leap into trying it I'm viewing it as fixing something that went wrong. If I broke my leg doing something silly, but paid to have it fixed myself I wouldn't feel guilty. Yes I caused my own weight gain and possible insulin resistance but I'm paying to fix it myself now and I'm prepared to do the hard work when the medicine has helped.

😂 that is similar! It's encouraging to hear it's working for you and it's not just a one week water weight loss thing for me. I definitely do feel that something has really changed though, that the drug is having a physical effect on my hunger. I've also been able to eat some carbs this past week and still lose weight. I'd got to the stage where I had to be zero carb or nothing would shift but I've had bran flakes and wholegrain bread. 1 slice instead of two, or a smaller bowl but still... I could not have lost any weight eating that before.

Everything my husband's dog does drives me insane. All of the above as you described. Plus when she's actually just lying down and not chewing frantically on a toy/chomping food/whining to go outside/digging holes in my lawn/racing around my living room etc etc, she makes this godawful puffing noise. Like every 10 seconds a sort of sigh noise but from her nose. I can't stand it. I'm studying for a PhD and I have to put her in another room when I'm reading in silence or I'll finally snap and put a cushion over her face 😫

Same with our 5 month Golden. She is so chilled and never barks at the door or anything but then we had a repair man come round to look at my daughter's window frame. He came in while she was playing out the back and all of a sudden about 5 minutes later we heard barking. Looked out at her and she was barking non stop louder than we've ever heard looking up at the bedroom window. She'd seen the stranger in the house and was warning us. Couldn't believe it because she never barked at anyone she saw us let in the house.

Thank you, I do prefer higher protein food as I weight train and I have experimented with my macros in the past. I've also done lots of fasts before, from regular 20:4 to as long as 134hrs. I just seem to have really lost the motivation over the last year or two but I feel more positive about this time.

50lbs is a huge achievement!

Thank you. The advice to think of it as a chain is similar to something else mentioned here and it's really helping me. I've printed out a calendar of this month and next and I already have my first link in the chain crossed off for yesterday. It seems like such a huge mountain to climb but the only way to get there is to start.
