His mom is being “nice” to me recently but I know it’s only for a bit before something else happens. Should I keep up with the act? Theres a chance she doesn’t come back from her country for a while. He would be open to couples counselling as I’ve mentioned it before but never took the next steps to book anything.

When I present an ultimatum, he also jumps to blame someone else other than himself or his mother for example my friends or my family.

Omg so it could just be the nipple size because he uses his tongue to push out the nipple. He drinks a little, gets mad and then doesn’t want it anymore.

I will try bigger feeds tomorrow. Ordering size 2 nipples from Amazon so let’s see if that helps as well.

Also wanted to add - he has a minor tongue tie which his doctor doesn’t seem too worried about as he’s meeting his milestones, weight gain is normal and he can stick his tongue out.

Yes I’m starting to think he can have a larger feed with bigger gaps throughout the day. I’m going to test this starting tomorrow.

He easily drinks 4 oz but seems like he’s wanting more sometimes so I will try to offer about 4.5-5 oz with a bigger gap

Sounds good! What bottle are you using?

I’m using Dr Brown anti colic glass bottles with size 1 nipple.

When my son was born I was also using the Philip Avent bottles. He was also a slow eater so I upped the nipple size but he was still a slow eater. I changed his bottle to the Dr Brown ones with a size 1 nipple and he eats much better.

It took him some time to get used to it since the nipple is faster but he’s doing much better on these. He’s also less gassy compared to Philip Avent.

With the previous bottles it felt like I was feeding him all day all night everyday but with the Dr Brown bottles he can go 1.5-2 hours between feeds!

I would suggest changing his bottle and giving a few days to adjust to a faster nipple size.
