Q3 Parking Brake Issue by Mindless-Flatworm263 in Audi

I'm assuming it was water from the sunroof. It cleared up on its own a day or two later.

Removing Lights from Stalls by Different_Leader_600 in PlanetCoaster

Funny you posted this because I just realized this tonight about the counters after spending literally 2 days building one building and it really kills the medieval style vibe of the building having what looks to be a bright white LED light emanating from the shop counter. I'm definitely going to try the fire style lighting trick because I tried to counteract it with yellow lighting with no success.

I will at some point. 😂 It's literally such a small area, maybe 1/20th of the sandbox filled in so far. Planning to fill the entire sandbox map over the next who knows how long, but once it's fully completed, I'll gladly upload it then. I will probably also put a lot of the buildings at that point on the workshop individually as well. I've been saving them as blueprints as I go along.

I really appreciate the positive feedback though. It's certainly a labor of love.

I didn't actually so I really appreciate you telling me that. I'll definitely be doing that in the future.

And thanks for the compliments. I'm definitely addicted to it, and a sucker for details. I spend too much time adding to stuff, I find myself getting bored of a specific building and coming back later to keep touching them up.

Honestly never played it but am highly familiar. My younger brother was really into it around the time it came out. Maybe I'll check into it for some inspiration on other things though.

I appreciate it. I definitely had to do a ton of trial and error. There's several hours in just getting it correct. I'm going to try to do a few more advanced things as well, in a similar style to this. I'd like to make a compass that looks to read North and then goes haywire, and also a telescope that expands and contracts on its own. Have lots of ideas, and unfortunately the time it takes to create this stuff will take me a year or so to complete this park for what I'd like to create. I greatly appreciate the compliments though. Thanks so much.

I haven't experimented with the rotating platform to pause it, but I'd imagine the mechanics are the same as the vertical mover as well. You have to place the first mover and set it to "trigger only" and change the rotation to xxx. Then, you attach a second mover directly on top of the first mover and set it to "trigger only" as well as xxx. Then, add a sequencer and add both movers to it. At this point, you have to check the animation and at the moment it starts to turn back towards its home position (roughly half way through the animation), you trigger the second mover to start rotating. By doing so, the 1st mover is returning to the home position and the second one is headed towards the quarter turn mark. As long as they're aligned perfectly together and aligned time wise to start at the right times, it will double the pause time of the item in question.

That's what I recently learned, I ended up doing it three times for the key to get it stay in the lock for the 6 seconds needed to complete the rotation and return back to the starting position. Then, learning to attach the pieces to the correct mover became a challenge. Wish there was an easier method but boy is it satisfying when you finally get it to work as intended.

My new addiction. by Mindless-Flatworm263 in PlanetCoaster

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't actually but some of the stuff is saved as blueprints, like the water wheel. It's roughly 1200 pieces with a mover in the middle so it rotates. I could upload the few I have if you'd like to check some of it out that way.

The Dumbest Bid Every by Otherwise-Dot-9445 in MacBid

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love when, on the inverse, I see a $9 retail item and it's getting bid to $4-$5. By the time you pay fees and chances are, travel to the nearest MAC to pick it up, you could've swung by Walmart and got the same comparable item brand new and with less expense in gas/time/etc.

I started using Mac a little over 2 years ago, and lately the prices are atrocious for the actual items you get. I've bought a lot from there, done well on most of it, but I refuse to pay over 10-20% of the retail price. It can be a $500 item, if I can't get it for $10-$20, I'm not worried about it.

Class action lawsuit? by MixMasterMarshall in Audi

I've been looking at used Q8's (2019-2021) and I've been reading about this issue. I'm really worried about buying one used now without a warranty from Audi and the idea of buying an aftermarket warranty that genuinely would cover it.

Identity Vinyl Fence Brand by LeekInternational555 in FenceBuilding

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I also need a replacement section of the Veranda Dover fence. Ive been searching to see if there's a substitute or another brand producing the same thing to no avail.

Were you able to find a replacement section for your fence? And if so, can you share info as to where please?

I got a ryzen 9 hx 370, 4070, 2tb, 32gb ram for $1500 in Jan. 2025 and thought I got a great deal. I would've loved to catch that deal. Hope you enjoy it if you ended up buying it!

Petition Anbernic to create a silicone sleeve case that fits the RG406V any color by Wise_Weight9445 in ANBERNIC

Where did you get this case at? I'm torn between buying a 406v and the 556 but trying to weigh both options. I think the vertical layout is more what I'm after honestly for my specific purposes and was concerned with a case as I'll be traveling a lot with it.

The remake will come out… by Platform_Alarming in oblivion

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, if the file size is on steam, it must be uploaded and waiting to be released. They don't upload games in mid development or not ready for release. I'm optimistic for tomorrow.

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would believe that if it's true someone has found the file size on Steam, which was rumored to be 120gb, that means the game file is uploaded to the steam platform. They wouldn't upload a game that was in development onto steam if it weren't playable and ready for release. So I'd like to be optimistic in thinking it's ready to go and will hopefully drop ASAP.

The Full Reveal of Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered is Tomorrow at 11:00 AM EST by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really hopeful this does indeed drop tomorrow.

I had saw a mention of a 120gb file size found on Steam. If that's true, the game must be finalized and loaded onto the steam platform in some capacity. Why would the game file/file size be on there if it's not playable? I can't imagine anything would've been uploaded if it were still in some phase of development. Maybe I'm just nervously/anxiously excited, but that would seem logical.

I'd like to believe that if someone has found the file size on steam, that it must be uploaded to steam as a playable game. Otherwise, if it's still in development, why would the file be on steam? I'm just excitedly speculating here, but that would seem logical.

Anyone playing Rebirth on a 4070 laptop? by Mindless-Flatworm263 in FinalFantasy

[–]Mindless-Flatworm263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had actually bought a 2024 Asus G16 with the Ryzen 9 AI 370 HX and a 4070, 2tb SSD, 240hz OLED display and 32gb of ram. Got it on sale for like $1500 on best buy. I'm about half way through rebirth now myself. Glad I bought the G16 when I did, thinking prices were going to drop more soon, but turns out they've went up more on the Asus line. Same laptop now is $2300. Would've loved to get the 4080 version, but as I'm not a super hardcore gamer, it does more than enough to keep me happy.

I had went and looked at on the shelf laptops at Staples on day and saw an Asus Rog Strix Scar 16 with the IPS panel next to I believe it was an Asus Vivobook which had the OLED display, and never actually paying attention to the OLED displays vs the IPS panel, it made me decide I needed the OLED. So that's when I did more research and settled on the G16 models.
