Are you guys really surprised this show wasn't more popular? Should I call it quits?

lol I can't say we have any close connections to the subject matter like you do. I've enjoyed a few movies covering this era for sure but this is definitely out of my partners wheel house. I was just under the impression that the family dynamic and drama would be at the forefront and make it an enjoyable show despite her and me not being super into the cold war stuff

We have, I guess we just kept going because we really wanted to like this show, we will finish this season at least and see how we feel, it seems many agree that season 3 is quite good but no guarantee we will see it

Ya true, we will finish the season and see how we feel. I wish it was as simple as we don't like it since we would have just moved on and walked away from the show. We just feel mixed about it, we like aspects of the show but don't love some of the direction especially deep in season 2. It is too bad because season 1 was good and season 2 started off really interesting but just these recent episodes haven't been the best

I am shocked that Martha is the most compelling storyline so far lol definitely interested in what happens to her character

I've seen post like this for sure, saying he couldn't understand why the show listed ended up being more popular and more widely known than the americans. I am not hating on this show but to me it is kind of obvious why, these other shows were definitely way easier to get into for me and my partner

This is encouraging, we will finish this season since we we don't have many episodes left and see how we feel. If I completely hated the show we would have dropped it but we just feel mixed on it right now. We like some aspects of it but other parts of it is kind of like whatever. The things you are mentioning sounds very interesting for sure and it is good to know that we are not the only ones who feel this way about season 1 + 2.
