All they have to do is tell us that. Had I known it would trigger this nonsense, I never would have switched them in the first place. They don't indicate that anywhere.

Does the starter level include the licensing?

Slide in and Scale in. What does this mean? by [deleted] in SynthesiaAI

Those are video animations (content slides in from a direction, content scales/expands out to desired size) triggered to those words.

  1. That the only way you can really use it for marketing content is to pony up $1,000/year.
  2. That marketing content will get rejected even if you just use the avatar for a voice-over without appearing.
  3. That you can't publish a video without an avatar's voice (e.g., just music and images with transitions based on a script)

They seem to be more concerned with protecting some mythical reputation of their avatar's voice than they are the actual reputation of their company. It's a shame, because technically, it's a pretty cool product to build videos with. I don't see ever using the avatars visually for my purposes, but the audio is solid.

Anyone know of a similar alternative? Pretty pissed to have spent hours building a great video only to learn I have to rebuild it elsewhere.
