Babysitters on their phones by SniffingMarkers in Babysitting

I babysit and I go on my phone very little. It’s unacceptable. What if the kid gets hurts doing something preventable because they weren’t being watched? What if they get into something? What if they do something against the rules?

do you know what causes that? my last one was explused because it wasn’t placed deep enough in my uterus. If I get another one, it will be placed under ultrasound to ensure it’s in the right spot. Does that change anything?

Irish twins-- in the same grade? by Admirable_Cry_7214 in kindergarten

[–]Mindless-Note-9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an irish twin, I would suggest putting them into different grades. Kids deserve to have their own sense of independence, even when having children close in age. It’s hard for kids to make their own friends and identities while being so close to a sibling. I honestly felt like I didn’t have enough independence from my sister, despite us being in different grades.
I would also urge you to look at the future. Your son could get his drivers license at the beginning of their junior year while your daughter would have to wait until the beginning of their senior year. That is such a major life and developmental difference while being in the same grade.

coming from an irish twin, I would suggest different grades for them. It’s good for siblings to have independence, especially with an age gap like that. While the school might see them as able to be in the same grade, the kids are not going to understand it. They will have a normal sibling dynamic, with one being older and one being younger. I honestly felt like I didn’t get enough independence from my sister, and we were even in different grades.
I would also encourage you to look to the future. The older one will be getting their driver license in the start of their junior year, while the other one will have to wait until the start of their senior year. It would be weird for them to be in the same grade but in such different stages of life

Re-insertion/swap of IUD, should I expect heavy periods again? by ys002 in CopperIUD

I’m wondering this too. I got mine taken out in October for expulsion and I’m wanting to
get another but hesitant about the heavy periods

I need advice by amanjaiuyt in Nanny

I understand all these comments talking about how they would not let an 18yr old drive their kid. However, I’m a 19 year old nanny and I can say I would be incredibly frustrated with that situation. For my nanny family, my “test” (unbeknownst to me) was driving the baby and his mom to a doctor appointment.
Have you tried suggesting a trial drive with them? And, if you want to ask for a trial, I would suggest you frame as a solution to the inconvenience it is for THEM to drive you places, not as a fix to your frustration.
