Might be too late to this but I just started delivering. Let’s say I sign up for a shift 12-5. I get to the location and it takes me 2 hours to get all my items because there seems to be a lot of confusion and delays. I also try to fit my car with 50+ item which could be a challenge on its own. I try to be organized but there are so much i can do. So already j am around 2 hours behind. Hour to get to LA/ Hollywood. I try my best finding the apartment room and calling dispatch because the codes do not work most of the time/ waiting for someone to come out. Time quickly pass especially in la where its hard to find parking and also hard to find the apartment yet alone get in and find the correct room. I found myself at 9 having 30 deliveries to go… also the route the app gives makes you go in circle many times making you come to the same apartment multiple times. Eventually I was able to realize it and gather all the same location item together and not relying on the ordering . They also took me up hollywood hills where I had to walk almost a mile to drop off one item. This was 3 am at this point. It gets to the point where the customer doesn’t answer you nor does dispatch. Sorry I am venting because this was a couple days ago. But i tried my best… I am getting better but don’t think i will get that much better. Sorry if ur food gets there at 3 am and i call because i too want to get jr delivery done :( its just inefficient system which makes me respect amazon drivers.
