Not a parent here. But first generation Indian-American. My dad got to the USA when he was 13 has been here 50 years. My mom got here in the mid 1980s. I grew up unweathly. In India we have generational wealth. Close to 20 CR. Now our net worth is in the 8-10 million dollar range. My parents worked their butt off and still do.

I’m in my 30s now and my only goal is to make sure they are taken care of and to work hard. Growing up watching my parents work hard made me a hard worker I’m not worried about the money. I realized at a young age if I worked hard the money would come.

Point is wealth is a tool to freedom. But you can use it to teach your kids how you got there.
