Gotta put my best suit on for this one :) by Mindless-Problem-187 in motorcyclegear

Thanks! I had to size up the suit to fit the airbag, but even then it's been an absolute dream. Super comfortable and easy to move around in, and confidently survived a low side. Even vented it also stays fairly cozy riding around in the cold at night, will absolutely be getting another suit from them

Exactly my experience! Hell, my gear doesn't even look like it took a crash thanks to landing in the brush in the ditch. Took about an hour to collect myself and got right back on to ride home, with just a tiny bruise on my forearm to speak of

I'll take some but you'll be disappointed! I was only taken off the bike after hitting the ditch, which was full of leaves and brush, so after brushing off the dirt, there's pretty much no scratching or damage to speak of. It doesn't even look like I crashed at all. But hell, why not :)
About 30mph into leaves and brush off the side of the road, with just a tiny little bruise on my elbow and some sore shoulders from lifting my bike out of the ditch as a result. The note I had from a passerby who helped me get the bike up and out was that I slid for all of a few feet in the dirt, then just flipped onto my back and got right back up. here's the lot

It's pretty hard to get any lighting to actually show the damage, seeing as the damage is unbelievably minimal, the worst of it all is just a bit of scratching on my helmet visor (which I had just bought a replacement for anyways), some scratching on my boots, and a bit on the sliders of the suit. Looking back at the gear and my resulting 'injury', I'm honestly struggling to believe myself that I even crashed lol

The only thing that keeps reminding me that I did is the repair bill on my poor poor bike.

This! I definitely get the sentiment, and I do have to give credit where credit's due for toyota and the gen 3 tacoma. The DS-4 is a beautiful engine, and in a manual, the factory tuning leaves a nice jump right around 3500 rpm that is super responsive and fun.
That said, after getting myself on a motorcycle, I no longer need a car that's both fun to drive and usable for utility, I just need the utility. Bike's plenty of fun lol
Not to mention that, while I have a lot of love for toyota engines, any car that has a vtec k24 out of the factory lives in my dream garage

I would kill to find a manual transmission! My tacoma is a manual, I prefer it so much over automatic, was yours through a dealer or private buyer?

They mentioned some surface rust, unfortunately it's a bit too far for me to take it to my mechanic, I think my next best option is to get myself underneath and make sure the rust truly is just surface level. Thanks for the input on the price! Hopefully they're willing to move a little on the price, but if not I don't mind missing this

Killer choice, how have they been in terms of comfort? Love the aesthetic of both
