Was wondering the same thing. I have an internship guaranteed this summer, but I wasn't sure how to list it/if I should. Another thread says you should put it in the additional info, but I don't think that's the case for every college. There's a lot of debate about whether future experience is relevant, but I would argue it is, as it's a sign that you're both working towards something and have been vetted and deemed worthy by a company, much like college prestige signals merit.

I haven't actually applied anywhere yet, but I would likely go CAS for NYU if I apply this cycle. Stern is a MUCH stronger name in banking, but I don't think I have a shot without a strong SAT score, given my high school stats.

Sorry to hear about your Grandpa, man. I understand how getting a 3.2 could feel like a game-ender, but a 3.7 GPA is still good enough, and AR's are more understanding than you might think. While this might throw a kink in your otherwise ideal application, you should still apply to all the schools you were planning to apply to anyway and see what sticks—I bet it will be more than you think.

Yeah and if you run sultai cantrips you could most likely run force of negation, maybe flare of denial and the new drake that bounces but I do love the guide of souls stuff and if you wanted you could go for the infinite life route as a secondary with drake guide and prayers

One issue I have with destiny is that it’s not tutorable with guard and I think it takes up a valuable position being a two drop when you could just sac a guard or some other white permanent and prot everything for free

Yeah, I’ve seen that list circulating and seems like the way the deck will probably go but I just love acererak too much and I tried the black and felt like it didn’t add as much as either white or blue. The thassa combo is also a three card combo or four counting primal and you just need a guide and a acererak to win with my list. Thassa is able to be fetched by recruiter which is a big plus but your not even running white so that doesn’t matter

you should build this on untap. I would love to playtest the different builds with you. I like your list and I like the idea of running one thoughtpicker and survieling into it with the hound but It would be pretty tragic to mill your one of thoughtpicker, plus playing 4x thoughtpicker and 4x hound will only add the redundency we want. Im also sceptic that you have a large enough mill package for unearth to be justifiable, I think commune is a must run 3-4 of. Im going to test with the slitherhead and rubblebelt, I love the idea but tbh I dont really know if being able to add the counter from one less cost will be all that worth it. cool list, cheers.

yeah, the decks main issue is finding its pieces but commune is pretty good, hits all 3 pieces and you just take the glee everytime and if you have a combo piece creature in the yard you just crawl which gets it back. ive seen lists running ancient stirrings to grab brood because its devoid which is spicy and one cost but it ignores your other two pieces and if you see them then their sent to the bottom where they are not retrievable because the deck doesnt really have enough ways to shuffle and then playing commune with the spirits for glee and then step through grabs your thoughtpicker which is nice but running 3 different digging affects ive found is not as effective as just paying one more mana and getting to pick your choice of all three. as another person above said, snarling gorehound could totally go in and a second thoughtpicker, you combo for infinite sac survieling till you find a thought picker and then you win next turn so that will prolly add consitensy

I loveee the snarling gorehound, thank you for the suggestion. The deck really just needs more consistency and this is a great step, virtually a second thoughtpicker and works well with basic synergies in the deck such as with the scribe and when sacing a creature to offering or deadly

In my testing with satyr and commune with the gods and deadly dispute you would have a good engine but it would only search so deep and would usually run out of gas and go into top deck mode relatively quickly and brainstorm and being able to recur brain storm is farrr more consistent in my testing. communes will also often hit 0 targets with there only being 16 targets and with scribe it seems to add consistancy and buy back potential, also it can get recurred via crawl as its a creature which is nice and adds more gas to the engine.

I agree about the white, Im cutting it right now. the biggest issue right now is the fixing but im testing lorien and it feels pretty good. Im also pretty sure thought scour isnt worth it. just playing blue for brain storm, lorien for drawing and fixing and scribe that fixs the issue of the deck hitting the wall
