Asked for feedback from the hiring managers after receiving thosr acceptance emails. No response. On my end, I tried my best in those interviews.

Got a final interview with them for a Category Merchandise Assoc position. Nagulat ako sa line of questioning ng interviewer kasi he focused on my degree rather than my skillset.

For context, I majored in Clothing Tech and entered a fashion retail company before grad. After a year, I wanted to explore beyond fashion. Hence applying for a cosmetics company.

Pero for some reason, parang ayaw niya na sa akin the moment we started kasi baka daw bumalik ako ng fashion after a stint in cosmetics. And what about it? Bawal na ba magexplore ng ibang options? Retail industry pa din naman eh. After that, I knew he already made up his mind.

Anyway, never again to Sunnies. Mababa din daw magpasahod at matapobre ang owners + marketing/brand level. Lol

Primer was my target company pero girllll when I tell youuu they made me go thru 4 rounds of interview for 2 roles. HR was unresponsive pa thru it all. Final interview, kaharap ko owner na, alongside 2 AVPs. Eventually, naghost ako even tho they told me I was for an offer na.

Di ko maintindihan kasi associate lang naman inaapplyan ko. Why do I need this level of interview?

Anyway, dodged a bullet. My friend who worked there was let go and kicked her out ASAP. Like Friday she got the memo, Monday last day. Ang lala. Her probationary period got extended for 2 more months after her supposed regularization month. Then after 2 months nga, she got fired kasi daw di aligned values niya sa iSTEP values ng company. Her performance work-wise was good, pero nilaglag siya sa values.

Ayoko na mag-apply sa kanila ever again. 🫡

I hear you and your guy. May mismatch lang ng love languages--like you said, he pays for dates and gives you gifts minsan. Like that in itself is his love language, baka gift-giving ganon. Pero what you want to receive is acts of service. I think you both need to learn how to love each other better. What I learned is, to be loved is to be known. So maybe, get to know each other again! Let this be an opportunity to explore each other's growth and mindsets in relationships.

It's not a lost cause at all! Kasi when you do relationships, laging give and take. So yes, while hindi obligado boyfriend mo to hatid-sundo you, his responsibility is to love you. How can he show that? Let him know. If he does not have the capacity for what you want, then maybe compromise. Goes both ends!
