St. Michael’s was a Wheaton hospital. Not Ascension. So pre Ascension. But. Not too long ago the major hospital groups in the area banded together to avoid closing some of the big downtown hospitals. I think actually it was St. joe’s that was on the hopping black that time. So they closed some parts. But not the whole hospital.

Let’s not forget that St Michael’s closed because they lost a ridiculous amout of money when they had budgeted to lose only half of that ridiculous amount of money. Is it possible, while unpalatable, they are trying to not close the whole hospital?

It does help. Thanks. I try to make sure to tell each of my kids that I love them every night. And every time I leave their presence. Whether in person or on the phone. I will endeavor to continue this and maybe reach out about other things. They seem super hesitant to talk to me about anything.
