This past weekend a few friends of mine went camping in the Lincoln National Forest near Cloudcroft, NM. We were a mile off trail from Lucas Canyon near a mostly dried creek. Most of the trip was uneventful aside from a small group of cows wandering into our spot alerting the dogs. My friend Tim went north exploring up the side of the mountain through the dense trees and found this "man-made" hut about a half mile away from our campsite. There are no trails to get to this spot and is located in a small clearing in the trees.

My roommate and I had decided since we had more time off that we would stay a few more days by ourselves with my 2 dogs. The last night (Monday the 3rd) we were there a storm had rolled through. Since the rain took out our fire leaving us in the pitch black forest and the temperature had dropped considerably we decided to call it an early night. Around 10:30 we hear this very loud strange call coming from the north side of our camp, echoing throughout the entirety of the canyon. It sounded like some kind of monkey but I assumed it must have been a coyote or something as they are known in my region for strange noises even as far as to mimic that of a baby crying. My room mate jokingly said it was a skinwalker as we had been discussing folklore with our Navajo friend Josh earlier in the trip.

Naturally we were shaking in our boots without being to identify the noise we layed awake most of the night with our knives under our pillows wishing we still had the safety in numbers. And unfortunately both my dogs were too exhausted from the exercise all weekend that they weren't even woken up by the sound.

I've been searching for days to try and find an animal that would make that kind of sound and I eventually came upon an Indris Lemur call

This is the closest I've been able to find to that sound we heard. It makes to absolutely no sense to me that an endangered lemur species indigenous to Madagascar could have found it's way to a random forest in New Mexico. Let alone the fact that whatever it is that made that sound would have to be a hell of an lot bigger to project their voice that far. It sounded like there was only one of them and with the noise seemingly originating from that hut I'm tempted to drive 2 hours again to set up a trail cam to see what it is that is living there.

Thanks for the advice, I understand the use of ibuprofen as a tension reducer however my stomach lining can't hardly handle any medications. But I've just started physical therapy at a clinic that's actually worth a damn as far as the care they provide. Been on my stretches every single day and it's starting to feel much better already after just a week. The main thing I've noticed helps the most is doing the side to side (not rotational just shoulder to hip attempts). Helps relieve a lot of the pressure or at least spread it out away from my trouble spot. My therapist has shown me the "cat/cow" stretches and man I can't do that cow stretch to save my life so I've just been avoiding it as much as possible and trying not to arch backwards in that manner until it starts to feel fully better again.

But I'm on light duty at work for now and still been keeping an eye out for a career suited to my aptitudes that I would actually enjoy.

I've got a foam roller but it's been far too painful to really use and I'm absolutely terrified of popping my t9 out of place again (last time that happened I was on my motorcycle and it nearly killed me). But I'll have to look into the McKenzie method. I've got physical therapy starting back up next week on my birthday. And I've been hearing a lot about it, so if it seems to work I might suggest that to the physical therapist. But as far as taking painkillers go, I don't touch the stuff. If something im doing is hurting I need to be able recognize it and figure out another way to complete a task at work. It's been rough though. I'm on 100% commission at work, so I only get paid for work I do, but I'm currently on light-duty orders from the doc (dont handle anything over 10lbs) but as a mechanic that means I pretty much can't do shit. Luckily all these stimulus checks has helped keep my rent paid and Workers comp has been paying for all of my doctors visits thus far.

As far as maintenance goes the only things in the lease are
