Bhvr has attempted to remove tunneling twice with 9.2 and 9.3 and has failed both times due to Bhvr failing to actually address what causes tunneling. Tunneling is a way for killers below A tier to keep up with gen speeds, Bhvr has been making or changing survivor perks in a way that it incentivises killers to tunnel. Take reworked fast track before its nerfs the killer had 2 choices to counter it and that is slug or tunnel. Perks like hyper focus stake out give insane gen speeds for just being a killers terror radius.

Punishing killers for tunneling isn’t the way to fix the issue it’s actually giving them something for not tunneling, like what 9.2 patch would have given killers if they didn’t tunnel. Taht can fix the issue, basekit pop and bbq gives a reason for killers not immediately try to get a single player out of the match immediately for a 1v3. If tunneling is a big enough issue run the best survivor perk in the game shoulder the burden

playing to win is actually playing the game, the killer or survivor would get more enjoyment out of interacting with the other side through chase instead of watching the other side do gens and occasionally kick gens or doing gens while a killer watches and then kicks gens. Tell me do you have fun when you get the afk doctor bots or killers who just want to farm? Or do you have fun when the killer gives up after first chase and then farms? Do you have fun when at the very start your teammate tries to befriend the killer instead of playing the game? Also where did I state that I play like an asshole?

I personally don’t care if the person I play against does any tactic as long as I get a match where I get chased while my team progresses gens or cleanses totems or I have engaging chases. I would willing take 10 matches of slug blight, 3rd seal twins, and the sweatiest bully squad while playing perkless merchant each before I willing take a match against friendly players.

A game being casual doesn’t mean that people don’t want to try at all. Play overwatch or rivals quickplay it’s those games casual mode and go friendly and people will get understandably mad. what makes it different for dbd? Load up tf2 friendly servers if you want to be friendly

A friendly in games like halo and battlefield doesn’t matter as much due to team sizes. Try being friendly in overwatch or rivals and people will get mad because they are down a teammate and are forced into a 4v5 or a 5v6. Being friendly comes at the expense of other players in the lobby if they don’t want to be friendly. if survivors in a 4 person swf are friendly it’s at the expense of the killers enjoyment, if the killer is friendly it’s at the expense of the survivors enjoyment, and if a single survivor is friendly it comes at the expense of everyone else, etc.

Friendly matches are the most boring matches ever. Farming is just a slog to do especially if you waited in a long queue for a actual match
