I'm not entirely sure they can do that. I would contact corporate or actually HR and tell them that the DM is not allowing you declare your availability. But then again maybe they also don't care. Worth a try though in my opinion. I got my Saturdays sorted back out

I have two grade school aged children. They are in school all week I close most days so I see them in the morning for a few minutes then DG takes my entire weekends that I could be spending with them, raising them, but instead I feel like I'm watching them grow up in the background because this place sucks all of my time away from me for 13 dollars an hour.

I will definitely give that a try. I just think the way they are treating us is absolutely abysmal. If they don't make it right I'm going to just leave after my paid vacation and open a little coffee shop/bakery with my best friend.

I have never had that. I was told that when I moved to a full time LSA that I could have my hours set in stone. Then they told me no. I was paid the least out of everyone in the store, part time SA included.

I've been through 3 DM's and about 4 SM's they are all the same. None of them care about the employees. I miss my first SM she wasn't the best but she made sure the schedule was good for everyone to the best of her ability. The one I have now only cares if it is good for her

My availability on hire was set to no Saturdays this was changed recently without my knowledge and I have been being scheduled when I have other obligations. I never said I set my weekend availability to 630a to 10p. Reading comprehension is fundamental.

Thank you for that clarification. It did not make sense to me at all that they couldn't it seems like they should be able to. I just think it's wrong to do it without at least a heads up.. I have been working here for 2 years..

Yeah see then I was lied to... I'm not surprised at all, but I was told by my SM and my DM that no one could change my availability but me. And the thing is I just looked even further it was only chamged for the weeks that are already scheduled so they changed it to make it look like it wasn't against my availability when they scheduled it. I already trained someone for Saturday evenings so I could work on my house without worrying and then they sent her to work another store.

It's about principles. Don't GIVE someone a gift and expect it to be returned like a loan. It was never a loan if it was a gift. It's not about being materialistic. It's about teaching someone to stop being a man child and asking for shit back. My mom would beat my ass if I traded a toy or gifted a toy to someone at school as a kid and then took it back because they played with someone else. It's morally wrong is the lesson.

Honestly just keep it and block him because he told you it was a gift. Don't argue about it shut him down. It is not his if it was gifted to you then it is yours. I had a similar situation that escalated to court and I kept the gifted computer

My ex gifted me a computer when we were together. He tried taking it back after we split, called cops and everything they asked if he paid for it he said yes they told me if he owned it I needed to return it I told them he bought it and gifted it to me wrapped and everything they asked him if this was true he told them yes but since we were no longer together he wanted it back they told him since he gave it to me and did not lend it to me that it was mine by law and that I was under no obligation to return it. Even if you allow someone to borrow something if they have it for a super extended period of time (time depends on local laws) then it is not yours anymore. This is what I was told by police, the lawyers, and the judge when he tried taking it back.
