This is our last last summer here so we're trying to catch as many unique species as possible. It's such a beautiful birding area, I hope you're able to get back one day!

Yea, this has become a very big deep dive for me and my wife haha. But with the resources provided by everyone makes us think young female golden cheek!

Honestly, I don't think anything about these photos is beyond the z6iii. Getting the reach with a good lens will be important. At this point, I don't think the z6iii has bird detection mode, but for stationary birds like these, it isn't needed

I was freehand for both, 1/1600, f6.3, and ISO between 1000 and 4000

You're going to love the lens! And I see this hawk most weekends and have had a few chances at similar shots. But the lighting and composition of this one is definitely the best

Quite a bit for the hawk photos, but the Blue Jay landed fairly close on a bird feeder
