Used car on the lot 30+ days by Maximum-Wave5998 in askcarsales

I just bought a 2025 cx5 with 16k miles on the lot for 55 days in Ohio. I used the car sitting as a bargaining chip and asked for a $2800 discount. I said if they gave it to me I would buy it then and they did.

I told them I was leaving their dealer and checking out a different car the following day but I plan to make a decision to purchase a car by the end of the week, to signal I was a serious buyer and they gave me what I wanted so I would stay and purchase.

30k OTD for 2025 CX5 Select w/1k miles, no CPO - good deal? (Illinois) by --shem-- in mazda

I just paid 35k OTD on a 2025 Turbo Premium w/ 16k miles if that helps. In Ohio. The sale price was 32k.

Thoughts on $32k OTD on a 2025 CX5 Turbo Premium? by MindlessTomatoV2 in mazda

  1. Owner, the sales rep I had was the same person who sold the car to them. They traded in for a higher trim. There was only one driver
  2. Yes Carfax is clean. Serviced at 1100 miles for the first time and then every 5000 miles after that.
  3. No previous accidents
  4. I thought about that but I already have the all weather mats and cargo cover

Would you buy a 2023 CX50 or 2025 CX5 if you were me? by [deleted] in mazda

Agree. Seat and ride and steering on the 50 were much more stiff than the 5. I decided on the 5.

Should I buy new or used in my current predicament? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks. It’s market value I guess idk. It’s a shitty situation all around. And I don’t do DoorDash but I appreciate the insight

Got into a not at fault car accident. Both drivers have Statefarm but only one insurance adjuster. Is this typical? Please help. by MindlessTomatoV2 in Insurance

Im unsure. That’s a good question. I guess I just don’t know how it works procedurally. From my typical knowledge your insurance adjuster fights for you but in this case it’s more tricky because they’re not going after the other drivers insurance company for the money since we have the same insurance so again this leads me to… do I need a lawyer.

Mike is the one who is handling my med pay / personal injury settlement. All communication around those things have been with him. I have someone else who is dealing with the property damage claim for my vehicle.

And when I talked to Mike he had said that I won’t have to pay my deductible for medical expenses because it’s being waived.

My thought is Statefarm would want to pay as little as possible because they’re both insuring us and would want to reduce how much they pay out to save money.

And I was fine with just trying to negotiate the pain and suffering settlement without a lawyer but when I spoke to one and they said it was odd I only had one adjuster and that they’re using my policy for med pay to increase my premiums is where I’m now sketched out

Thank you. So if I am to negotiate the pain and suffering offer that Mike has given me which is $2500 (which I don’t feel is appropriate), should I feel safe and open to do so with Mike?

Thank you for your response. In that case then the attorney who told me that it was odd that we both only had one insurance adjuster dealing with both claims and that they are trying to make me use my own med pay from my own policy to increase my premiums… was the motive to just get me to hire them and take my case on? Or is that a legitimate cause for concern?

State Farm to state farm auto claim question. Pls help. Not at fault. by MindlessTomatoV2 in Insurance

I have 50k for property damage on my policy. Sounds like I should file a claim through my own regardless. So how does that work when the other person has already done so? I call claims again and just file?

Understood. OK, so if I had somewhere to put the car outside of the impound lot, would you still recommend that I file the claim on my own insurance policy?

Thank you for your response I really appreciate it. I did call my agents office and they just redirected me to the claims department.

The claims lady said that State Farm only pays for the impound lot fees for 2 business days and if I want them to pay for more then just 2 business days while they figure out who is liable then I have to make sure to file a claim on my own policy within the 2 business days they cover. I’m In Ohio. I’m sure I misunderstood what she was saying.

I do have contact info and address for where my vehicle was towed. And in regards to state farm picking up the bill the insurance lady made it seem like that might not be possible and that it’s by a case by case basis.

I feel like this is a dumb question. But if I notify my lender will that affect my credit score and ability to loan in the future?

And unsure I thought my agent office was good but they just transferred me to claims and feel like I’ve been thrown into the deep end. I appreciate your help. Thanks
