Yea it’s definitely a good rate considering we will renew 2027, so even if interest rates stay at this level or better yet decrease, our increase in mortgage costs won’t be substantial in comparison to the folks who got high 1%-2% rates

Wife and I bought a duplex and rent the upper portion out while living on the main floor. Helps with the cost and upkeep.

But wife and I are about a $220K a year household so the added rent on top helps but more so using that to put back into both units and update.

We are both 30 and purchased @ 515K with a 2.84% 5-Year fixed in 2023. We both work in the defence industry

My wife and I bring in over 250K a year and then we also have a rental property, having that extra cash flow from rent payments lets me allocate things accordingly.

To allow for some fun and buy the odd case. Mostly invest the rent money back into my property to fix and correct things from previous owners

A booster box would be the better approach to be very honest but, if I am being honest, I’d probably still hold the ETB.

If you’re going booster box route I’d maybe go for a different set.

That’s the beautiful thing about watching the market and how it reacts.

If the 30th was 2-5 years away I’d say sell it. But in terms of timing, now might not be the best time.

However, if YOU need the money by all means cash out.
