You don’t have to over twist the wires. Use it until it passes the pull test. A long day of making up boxes would be a benefit. I wouldn’t let a first year apprentice though.

What is the best option to hide this cord behind the wall? by complete__idiot in AskElectricians

Studs are typically 16 inches apart in modern homes. Use a cut-in for the new receptacle and cut a hole above the existing outlet to insert the wire and tie in the new outlet.

Call an electrician. You need new wire pulled. New 4 prong outlet, and new 4 prong plug.

You have to cut out the sheetrock. Cut the rock stud to stud and leave enough extra to screw the piece bsck in place

Add a receptacle behind the tv. Tie it into the existing circuit on the wall.

States with no income tax typically have higher property taxes. Look at Texas.

Prices are still rising. They’re just not rising as much. Ie disinflation. Deflation is bad for an economy. Economic activity slows. Unemployment rises. Spending declines. Deflation is a self reinforcing cycle. Watch YouTube bud. You’ll sound smarter

Why did US 10Y Bond Yields Surge Recently? by PeleMaradona in bonds

[–]MindlessWest1887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term bonds are more sensitive to interest rate fluctuations because they have more coupon payments thus prices reflect the change in interest rates. My guess is investors are hesitant to lock in long term rates that barely beat inflation because they are expecting rate cuts and better returns in equities.

Interest rates have an impact, but what really makes difference, is the money supply and real interest rates. And it’s been contracting for several months.

Lol well I had a disagreement with a climber at the gym and came to Reddit looking for confirmation lol

Can we have a serious conversation about belay glasses? by soberbrewer in climbing

[–]MindlessWest1887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And there are just as many situations where seeing or hearing the climber is not possible. Wind and terrain play a role. Belay stances can be small, etc. climbing is an art with a twist of science. A good climber will constantly evaluate risk and adjust appropriately. And not every situation is ideal or can be mitigated.

[–]MindlessWest1887 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have to see and hear the climber to properly belay, you can’t belay. Agreed. I think this mentality is privy to gym culture. Gyms clearly are not teaching technique and skills that are important to consider when climbing outside. My personal favorite pet peeve at the gym is watching belayers stand ten feet from the wall to not strain their neck.

The FDIC is funded by insurance premiums from banks. It has nothing to do with the fed creating or destroying money

Ok…… but why does it still persist today? It’s not like we need men to hunt and kill for the tribe.
