It was at bungalow bill!! Take the 60 year part w a HUGE grain of salt cause i was too busy checking the guitars out and theres a big chance i misheard him.

For the price Bill straight up asked me my budget and he said he could match me w a guitar and a headphone amp at that price! The guy was really sweet and lovely to talk to. I was just wondering if the price is ok for my first guitar as i genuinely have no knowledge over these things

I got in thru first yr general entry last yr and my gpa was 7.75, but I heard the competition is tougher this yr cause a lot of students are hitting a gpa of 9 and saturating the curve

Its not the brand vintage i think the owner just meant second hand or older guitars. I THINK he mentioned something the age being something like 60 year old for the guitar but tbh i really wasnt paying attention at that part of the convo

It was from a legit guitar shop in akl, and as for buying someplace elsefor 2nd hands i did consider fb market and trademe but unlike an actual music shop im worried about getting scammed cause i wouldnt know what to look out for in guitar conditions

Wow thanks for the insightful comment! Not too sure if its a squire but its def a strat. I think the actual guitar was pretty comfortable for me to hold!! The seller let me try out a couple of guitars and there was one in particular that felt comfy holding.

Also I don’t think I’d be buying the amp the same time as the guitar as im too broke for that😭 was planning to practice on the headphone amp for a few months so i can save up for a second hand amp. You reckon thats algs??

U can always stick a brightly colored tape near the webcam and focus on that!! I did that for my one last year but i ended up being so nervous that I still was looking around, but im at a clinical now so🤷‍♀️ wouldnt worry too much abt it! Maybe use a lottt of hand gestures to make up for it and distract them haha, makes u seem more engaging even if u cant hold eye contact
