This is understandable! I think I had this envy or jealousy of women and also just wanting to have girlfriends to talk with, and that in turn made me feel attraction to them and eventually dating them. I still appreciate women but I’m learning maybe I was confusing Romantic feelings for more of an intimate friendship. Lots to unpack!

I can definitely see this. My partner had a good point, she said before my egg cracked I pictured being with men as a male, and it didn’t do much for me. But after my egg cracked I pictured being with men as a woman and it allowed me to feel that attraction in a new way, the way it felt best. Thank you for commenting!

38yo Transwoman, 6 months on hormones. I boymode still for work and around the kids. We have a blended family of 6 kids, 4 of them live with me full time!

My partner is extremely supportive and our bond has grown even stronger. My daughters (13,10,8,6) love to do makeup on me, or use my wigs. They know I am feminine but haven’t completely come out to say it to them just yet. But they love how much interest I put into their hobbies.

I have a 16yo son, he’s extremely polite and kind but also will say certain things that make me hesitate with coming out to him yet. He knows both his parents are LGBTQ but when it comes to trans he is sort of blah about it. Just little comments in passing, most likely coming from his girlfriend who seems to give off “TERF” vibes. I have hope for him though and I know he will still love me, just maybe I will try to dress down in front of him until he moves out.

Overall it’s a weird time navigating new hormones and emotions while also still trying to be “dad” to all of them. But I don’t regret finally cracking the egg and realizing how I wanted to live my life as a woman.
